ACT ADV Ci-En Active [Inui] Hounds of the Meteor


It's a bit of a shame to scrap the old (new?) style so quickly. I suppose, though, that it's better he revamp now, rather than a year or two down the line when the negativity gets to him more. I'll always look forward to what inui has in store, he makes good games, and it's a shame that he is so hard on himself sometimes. Definitely hoping he's found his groove again and he'll continue doing what he does best.
 
If he wants to keep the "optional CNC" idea, he should try options like Degrees of Lewdity where your choices affect how-- or if-- your character is harmed-- and strengthening said options with experience causes the outputs to be much stronger.
 
New Update on his Page...he said it is just a picture...but maybe it's part of the game?
 
.......frogs as hentai monsters is a strange choice. Guess the flies with the maggots were outdated. :/
 
At least frogs have tongues. Not my thing either but you never know what he'll come up with.

New update to the blog: She's pulled underwater and raped by at least two aquatic enemies. Due to engine limitations, there's a limit to how far he can take the rape animations within an underwater context.
 
Woah! I basically gave up on this thing entirely after the initial character outfit concept and talk of another entire re-start from scratch. I still don't have a lot of hope, and I honestly find it kind of funny that the author of these games disabled comments because it tends to get, ah, 'rough'... They make wonderful and unique content but can't take the criticism that inevitably results from abandoning years-long projects? Although I recognize how unfair that is, especially for free work... I don't know. It's a little silly.

Anyway, I just looked and I love the new design so much, it's sort of a return to the style of Nanocrisis and it's super good, the full bodysuit look is something the author clearly likes (although with talk of 'exposure' being a problem, I guess they won't admit it?) and he does it really well, and the enemy designs look just as unique as before, and the 'grossness' of the antagonists (based entirely on the swamp guys) looks like it's not going for that off-putting basic human model with a new color and face putty look, not taking the halfway point between the extremely uncanny male humans and the humiliating monsters that the author very likely wanted to put across. Somehow, a well-designed swamp zombie looks so much more sexy to me. Go figure.

Interest tentatively renewed! Hope that the comments will get less abrasive, although finishing something would be a very final solution to that.

...unless you pull a Nekonomeme and your next game is the porn equivalent of Dark Souls 2...

That is a really good sign if he already moved into the new unity engine. The fact that he has the game looking like it feels very close to the original and now he has all the new options with the new engine. I'm excited again.
 
Yeah, just saw the new model and I'm looking forward to this more again. Of course people are gunna be annoyed/sad Hounds development stopped and the dev decides to go with a different style than what we all loved him for : p Can't really blame that on anybody. If he's tired of it or needs a change or whatever, that's understandable. Reminds me of musicians suddenly going with a different style out of nowhere and their fans being upset. If you like somebody for the way they're doing things and they change...of course you'll be unhappy. You might still be able to enjoy their new stuff, but I don't blame anybody for not sticking with them either.

Nano Crisis and Hounds of the Blade were some of my first downloads on my new computer, lol. Always fun to go back to once in a while. Not much else like them.

Nice the dev is pretty active on twitter though, good to see they're alive : p He posts a lot of other interesting games in development too I wanna watch out for.

It's those kind of pages (or like patreon), you donate/give a certain amount of money so you can check out the other stuff that's "locked"
