Maybe this is a dumb question for me to ask after following JSK for so long, but he's a solo developer right? The word "we" often comes up in the google translations of his work, so I get confused sometimes.
To my understanding, yes, JSK works alone, I haven't heard or seen JSK ever talking about brainstorming sessions with a crew in JSK blogs.

Though words of positivity in any respect are always nice.

Do you prefer the interrogation games over the battle games by any chance?

I... yes. Sorry. 😢

I've recently started to appreciate the interrogation games; I've literally spent more than 1 hour trying to unlock the alternative Story Mode of both Moody Niece and Cheeky Devil and... that was quite fun. 🎉

That said, I prefer the battle games. The thing is... that I don't really like the design of Satsuki Rindo.
That pushed me to try the two interrogation games. 😊
(I may try it later tho!)

And now... I can't wait to play the oncoming one! ✨

Latest article says he's stopping work on the battle scenes and is working on the in-battle sex scenes. Progress is slowed because of the dialogue, so once he gets a good grip on it progress will speed up.

Differences from previous games will be vaginal and anal insertion will get the girl to climax, which for the time being ends the round in the player's victory.

Not really. For the last action game, players needed to use action points to activate the finishing rape moves. Now, simply fingering them will get them to climax without requiring special AP consumption moves. If they climax, players win the round even though there's no internal ejaculation.

This is a holdover from the interrogation games where it was possible to finger the girl to climax during the interrogation phase.

Note JSK is still working on introducing other novel additions to the restraint mechanic, so more options might be available in this iteration.

Not really sure how I feel about that, seems like that'll make it so we have to play way more rounds in order to see all the scenes.

Think the question is... which method/way of teasing do we & JSK prefer?
'Lust shot / Charm Specials' or 'teasing' till a meter of the heroine fills up and she 'attacks' you?
Miyui and Reimi have moves where they assault you but we will be under the mercy of RNG when we have moves for kick grabs and jumps.

JSK wants to add a feature to make it differ from the previous entries. But it's whether it is an improvement or not.

I guess I wouldn't mind that much if it made sense in the context, like after a scene, she immediately regained her energy and grabbed her sword again, or something.

Also, in the spirit of remaking things, how similar do you think this game will be to Shogun Princess Christianne? Both characters are knights and have blonde hair, and their atmospheres seem kind of the same. I'm curious if JSK is just redoing the premises of his old games again, but adding a new spin to it like he always does.

Personally don't see this as a remake of Shogun Princess, but I can see where you're coming from.
My opinin is because it is not a side-view game, and the scenario doesn't feel similar either.

In the Cheeky Devil, it felt like a remake of Miyuka because the plot premise was similar. Miyuka found your porn stash and noticed it was all stuff pertaining to younger looking girls that looked similar to her. Things changed up based on your dialogue options and you get into a sexual relationship with her.

Same exact scenario of Cheeky Devil. You even have the second scene in the bathroom.

Orekko remake was clearly an Orekko remake. Red Haired martial artist fights you at your Dojo in order to preserve the honor of her fighting style.

In Shogun Princesss, you and your allies stormed the king's castle and fought the knight leader. Turns out the empire was brutal and treating the conquested lands like shit. Shogun Princess was just a brainwashed subordinate who didn't question the king and you beat some sense into her.

Scenario wise, I don't see the new game being similar. I don't think the protagonist is going to be a warrior from a fallen country, and I don't see the heroine as a straightforward "knight" type character in the same way.

But yeah... maybe he's run out of ideas, and I'm just giving him the benefit of the doubt. He hasn't added any unique feeling animations in the longest time, and I just want to believe in his creativity.

So... what other heroine themes has he not tried? I like to see kunoichi and witch. Though reading on the recent jsk comments, the following fighting game might be vampire.
