Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

@Phoenix: That smile of his is going to get him a BOOMHEADSHOT soon... very soon actually.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

If I remember correctly, someone already got a crash course in court etiquette...

*cough*Eve*cough*

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Oh this should be good. No one's explained the "No violence in Elysium" yet have they? *grins*

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yup~, and given how Luna's been fighting for her life for a while now, I believe her first reaction upon spotting something out of a Resident Evil/Zombie movie should be quite amusing...

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yes but no one's even mentioned anything about court etiquette to my character, so I shan't metagame. I was just curious as to you would actually address a prince. Right now the best I can come up with is your lordship, why do the kindred always use masculine titles for that matter.

EDIT: maybe I shouldn't have punched that wall then.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Come on, dmronny, use 'Your Flatulence'.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

because most of the etiquette is carried overfrom the dark ages, when women didn't matter ;)

In my RL game, i usually use a simple 'Prince', or sometimes 'My Prince' when I'm sucking up. And I wasn't encouraging you to metagame, i was encouraging Chibs to share the info, if the conversation swings that way. So far, almost all of you have smething to add, whether or not you know it yet ;)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Ronny, ronny, ronny... Thou should study medieval English more.

Things such as: "My Liege, My Lord, Your "Majesty" should work fine.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

"Prince" I think is the only masculine one they use. Believe it or not, if you read through all the old rulebooks, they use feminine pronouns throughout. I always thought that was interesting.

But you're right. Sire doesn't work (cuz he's not). "Sir" seems a little too familiar. Maybe just "my Prince." Also reinforces to him that you respect the title as well as him. *shrug*

Edit: Shrike's wearing the ninja PJs again.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Why would I want to study medieval english, especially middle english that's stuff is harder to figure out than old english.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Actually, it's a work uniform ;)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

You wear pj's to work why couldn't I get a nice uniform like that.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Not going to say anything.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Wow, Vincent sure is a fucking hypocrite. . . Poor Charles.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

haha, he has permission to sire, however ;)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I still say it doesn't matter. He told Charles one Kine wasn't worth it and here is his, giving Rosary the old Lestat schtick. Hypocrite! (Not to say I don't want to see Rosary Sired, mind you. No issues with her.) Damn Tremere.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Ah yes. I figured that with "spontaneously setting people on fire", he'd be a Tremere.
So no Malks or Ventrues yet. No Fiends either.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

With the amount of trouble Deacon has been giving the Cam, they wouldn't allow a known Tzim in at any point anyways. Nobody struck me asa Ventrue, and I have two reasons for not making everyone a Malk.

1) I don't trust anyone to play it properly. Nothing against you guys, but the only one I've seen play a satisfying Kook has been as ST since he was 8 yars old.
2) Kooks are getting the short stick at the moment, due to a massive gap in the madness network. you guys might or might not find that out, as it's part of the Sabbat's problem.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Obfuscate is a consciou decision, but meh. also, you can turn your head and look around, etc... You just can't move like walking and such, until level 2 anyways.

alrighty, I'm off to home and sleep, I have an early day tomorrow, about 7 hours from now. Night night!

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Night, Shrike. Catch you later. Time to join the fray. Raven just won't say much ;)
