A Superhero Beat em’ up with a kinky twist!

Solas City Heroes is a Beat 'em up that incorporates RPG elements and optional adult content. The gameplay consists of classic Beat em up action where you beat up endless hoards of (horny) enemies but when captured, the player can experience interactive sex encounters based on preferences made in the settings. Players can completely customize their appearance, their costumes and even their playstyle with the talents and specials.

The Setting
In a not so distant future, in a virtual world where their inhabitants can feel all the sensations going through their body, some of them have started developing superhuman powers!
You are one of those, and have decided to join the Guardians, a group of heroes who always try to help others and save the city from chaos and mayhem!
How will your journey go?
Be warned, you are just a starting newbie with a set of very particular skills, and you may find some powerful, roguish or even sensual villains in your way!

Went through character creation, hit start mission, and the game freezes up/never loads beyond the menu. Any fix for this?

EDIT: never mind, gotta click the destination first, otherwise it screws up.

i cant actually get a mission started and i already picked a destination. once i hit start mission the menu disappears and the character is just standing there....MENACINGLY

Really enjoyed this. I'm looking forward to future versions. One criticism is that the starting camera angle is pretty bad for like 80% of the sex moves, it's hard to adjust it and struggle with one hand, lol. So I was mostly using the auto and RPG struggle systems.

One irksome bug is that enemies can moonwalk off the stage, lol. Once I notice they start sliding I try to chase them down before they leave...

Loved Dungeon Coup and especially Kinky Fight Club, which is one of my favorite porn games. With that said uh... This isn't even remotely close to those. The animations look bad, the character models somehow look way worse than the other two games.

This is a very early demo so I'm not saying things with malicious intent, but rather just my point of view on this. The game has a LOT of bugs, obviously, and some are kind of gamebreaking too. Models as I said are bad, very few animations (those will come obviously), the game needs an all-futa option player included, a way to filter animations (I don't want to see footjobs), for some reason only male characters use blowjob anims (at least that I've seen) and idk if it's wanted or not. The combat itself is fine, there's nothing really great about it since there's literally only two combos, but the hits register kind of well for it being a demo, and even more so thinking it's MrZeds first sidescroller. Enemies can easily stunlock you, so maybe a dodge would be a nice addition. Mashing keys gets me out of any grab no matter my condition, so that needs some reworking too.

Overall, I really wished MrZed would've continued expanding Kinky Fight Club with maybe threesomes and other modes because that game is much better than what this can be in my opinion. I understand wanting to change, and with all this said I will still look forward to new versions of this (maybe I'll skip 5/6 demos), because I like MrZed as a creator and the whole dom/sub mechanic of the games.

A little heads-up to tell you you don't mention anywhere the changelog on itch.io is for the paid demo. Not the free 0.2.1. You might want to clarify that.
I wouldn't mind a few more levels for free sometime this month or the next, but you're da boss!

Good job so far. It's missing a lot of beat'em-all elements, notably the ganging up on MC, but what I see is promising for an early beta.
I'll be waiting for the full thing! (that made me buy Dungeon Coup to show some support, while I knew I wouldn't play it. Much 😅)

I tend to keep the free demo and the patreon demo updated together, but I usually wait a few days to get a bugfix before uploading the free demo.

What do you mean with ganging on the MC?
(I totally agree that Im still missing beat em up features, but I will be adding more and more stuff every month as I learn how to do more stuff)

Will the next update add more girls?
Yeah, each update will add a new stage and some new enemies! So yeah two new enemies (which can be only girls if you set it up like that)

Enemy AI gets stuck really easily, particularly if you fight close to the top half of the screen. They'll just stand there and wait for you to beat them up.

What do you mean with ganging on the MC?
The usual villain stuff: overwhelm the hero with numbers. 3-4 'active' enemies is fine, but the number of moves they can use is not enough. Grapples would work especially well closing the bridge between the H and the fight. I still remember prehistoric games like Vigilante or Renegade because every enemy had different grapple and attacks mechanics.
Also consider various means to attack. Flashing some tits, distractions, restraints, etc. Not every H-attack needs be a scene either; you could have short skills (like kissing or body rubbing). It's about needing to be vigilant about the ones you aren't currently punching.

There might not be a need to publish a new free demo so often; the free 0.2.2f brings almost nothing new, except issues. Notably:
- longer loading time somehow, especially on startup (20-30% longer?)
- enemies can't pathfind you when you're down. They seem to only succeed in grabbing you when they are 3+ in number. 2- enemies will walk left (right past you)
In short, 0.2.1 was better promotion-wise.

I'm glad you're thinking about us (who can wait for the game to release), but take your time with the free demo, as bugs can backfire on the advertising side. A regular changelog is proof enough you're working hard. Well, I'm not worried at all myself, but others might be, or become so when they see a buggy demo pop up.

Futa on futa often ends up with female on female foreplay (fingering). Is there any way to currently fix this and have it play handjobs instead?

I just saw that, thanks for the feedback, it's very insightful.
I want to improve the whole AI system and add new features and systems to the AI, but the guy that is going to help me with this is delayed with a lot of work, so yeah It will have to wait a bit more.
Flashing tities tho, haven't tought on that as a distract...

I've had an idea (totally not about AI!) you might or might not like. I will suppose it's very easy to swap a model for another in a given animation. How about:
- allowing players to change their fetish/weakness (not necessarily for free. Nor by choice: after a defeat, for instance)
- allowing the enemies to look for and abuse that weak spot
Let's say we have an enemy called Angela. Angela can use:
- A: Cowgirl
- B: Missionary
- C: Footjob
- D: Titjob
Currently, only MC's arousal matters, correct? Like 80% A-B / 20% C-D if MC's very aroused, correct?
And with the relevant option ON, Angela uses 25% A / 25% B / 25% C / 25% D at all times.

Now for my idea, let us suppose MC is weak against Breastplay. Angela catches them.
case A: Angela uses A (or B or C). Angela notices nothing special, so she will use 33% B, C or D next time she catches MC, to try something new. No change to other enemies.
case B: Angela uses D. Angela notices your weakness and tells her friends. Every enemy gains a cumulative +5% chance to use Breastplay, taken out from Sex positions. So 22.5% A / 22.5% B / 25% C / 30% D next time Angela catches you. 20 / 20 / 25 / 35 next time, and so on. This would pile up, and maybe reset after MC cums.

Now let's suppose Beatriz, another enemy in the area, does not have a Breastplay skill. We could have Beatriz 'learn' a Breastplay skill (at random, or perhaps from the Boss of the current area) and add it to her position pool, with a lesser chance than Angela-type enemies.
This would raise the difficulty naturally, and allow players to have some control over the scenes they prefer. Additionally, players will become more tempted to have fun and fool around, instead of coming to hate Carla/Carlos-type enemies because they never do blowjobs. Or something.

You're probably familiar with the Succubus Labyrinth demo?
It's also a beat'em all with combat rape. It uses a system similar to my suggestion: Imps will ruthlessly abuse your weak spot after they found it. They 'forget' about it after a while (imps are cute but not too smart).
I find this behaviour very logical from opponent intent on bringing you down with sex.

Every time the player gets defeated the enemy gains some level of intel on him/her, "That hero just can't resist [insert fetish/weakness]", more losses means more intel.

More intel will increase the chance the enemy will use the hero's fetish/weakness against him, maybe on hard the enemy never forgives or forget, on lower difficulties every victory and/or days passed these rumors are disregarded.

I don't know if there will be a "fame" stat, but it could also affect it, as they need to recognize the hero in order to add 2 and 2 together.

Must say I love this game so far, and like another user said the idea of enemies effectively 'fighting' using sex is really entertaining

Out of curiosity, will there be things like nonhuman/robot enemies or traps in the future? Just curious, not used to seeing a game with actual mechanics tied towards more combat sex style gameplay.
