Am i stupid? Why does the game not start,it keep freezing on load?

I found the reason for this issue!

My computer is usually set on the french date format (dd/mm/yyyy). After I swtiched on the US date format, the game worked.
Edit: UK date format also works too, so I think it's something caused by language rather than format.

ReiPatcher worked fine for me, though some people have reported that it can cause a resurgence of slowdown problems.

Good game, just missing an option/key to hide the whole display when in restrained mode and maybe some more content like impregnation etc.

Oh since it's kinda bumped anyway - if you experience MASSIVE slowdowns like me, where some attacks take up to a minute to complete: setting your time/date format fixes that issue too, not just the other bug they had. Weird. Anyway, hope this helps someone not waste an hour like me just now.
