Sorry man. But You have never left the Event - Break cycle. There was no falling back to it, it never left, we just could not see it for the 6 week duster.
-
Claims of Aigis has improved
A little, but not much. Its only achievement has been to move from an ustable "Event - 2 Week breaks" setup, and to a stable "Event - 1 week break" setup
-
Hopes that Aigis will return to contineous events
probably no. (Short of a major shift at the devs intentions and resources being allocated) a change back will not happen, for amongst other things, that a change up never happend in the first place.
-
Awakenings will make everything good
unikely. Your AW units will spend as much time as your current units rusting away with Event - Break as your CC'ed units do. AW is a dead end (Short of a major shift at the devs intentions and resources being allocated). It will really depend on what you want out of AW at the very least.

Christmas Events other things?
Likely not going to happen. ex. The Calico (spelling?) christmas event that DMM had last year is something we'll get in late 2018 at the current production levels
-
We'll get all the content eventually though!
Sure. It only requires the game to run until mid-late 2018/19 when it will be where DMM is now.
It must also stop bleeding players due to too little content, to allow it to hold a big enough player base together (so that the devs do not plug the plug before 2019
OR so that Nutako do not decide that they are not getting enough for being a punching bag go-between of the devs and players).
Also it must manage to compete against games and a market that by then run 2018/19 content, against an Aigis that will just barely have managed to get to 2016 content by then.
Aaand of course, DMM must stop producing content from today, as otherwise, by 2019 it will be about 5 years ahead of Nutaku Aigis in content. Yep. You'll have to play to 2024ish to see 2019 DMM content at the current pace.
(Amusingly, the number of "loli" being missed will speed up the pace, so people can hope for more skipped content if the timelines seem a bit long

)

Is there a silver lining?
Yes. The problems are all entirely artificially created by the developer and can be removed instantly by the developer too. For the 1st year of Nutaku Aigis life, they have simply chosen not to do so.
-
Thats not much of a silver lining, if they have done that for a year, what then
Then nothing. The player base volcanic outburst & requests in 2015 to run old historic code has been a (my 100% subjective opinion, I know many others feel different and respect that) bust. Not due to the player base, but because the devs
seemly never intended to run anything that a direct port based on current Aigis or jumping to it as fast as they possibly could. Sadly those two approaches (player wishes for historic aigis and devs vision of jumping/moving forward to reach current aigis) are entirely imcompatible in terms of resources.
The one we have require a full and dedicated team, the one they envisioned requires a small staff that will translate and port current code with the support of the main team that has just created it moments before for the JP version.
What has been received
seems to be (guessing) the prior approach with the latters team. Results? Sadly

Mountain of Content Ready to be ported, Tiny & bottlenecked capacity to actually port it.
Your choices are,
1. Accept it (natural regen will be enough, more than enough, save money, /wink at a girl, /drink with a friend, use that money for some RL fun)
2. Leave (bon voyage)
3. Go DMM (and hope to return. Congratulations on your promotion to Tourist)
4. Go DMM (one way ticket. bon voyage again)
5. Mass Petition to return that first vision for Nutaku Aigis that the Devs had (warning: there will be much whining)
6. Like 5. but for more resources to do more and better of what is now (hope and patience, stockpile now)
7. Your choice
