Personally I think the best way to do it would be to make a trading post available for a certain period, probably during the course of Liana's event. The trading posts would allow you to trade your current Liana from gacha and trade it in for Black Iris, who would have been the unit you rolled had she been in the gacha from the start.

one HUGE problem with that. I've had my Liana since I first joined Aigis and she's heavily invested in, awakened all that jazz. That isn't exactly a fair trade off, why would I give a unit like that away for a base level Iris? I'd want all my gold/units/resources back I put into her.

Edit: If the Iris is already awakened, I'd be fine with that.

You do know that event blacks sell for a whopping five Rainbow Crystals? I don't think you'd get the full four hundred just because that specific copy was from gacha.

Actually, I didn't so thanks on that clarification. Either way if Liana's event does come, what else am I supposed to do with a base Liana? I mean I guess I could use 2 Lianas, 1 perfect and 1 base as I don't particularly care on using clones.

It would be traded for an equal invested Liana, I forgot to mention that, but that would obviously have to be a requirement.

It wouldn't be an overly difficult thing to do.

Is Liana base, CC, or awaken - give Black Iris same status and level.
Is Liana cost reduced - give Black Iris same cost reduction to a maximum of her cap.
Is Liana's skill ranked up - give Black Iris same skill rank.

Exactly, how about this. The week before her event starts, swap every Liana on every player's account for a black Iris with the same level, affection, and skill level as the corresponding Lianas (if you went past 5/5... maybe refund some Rainbows).

Even that isn't a perfect solution because you'll have like five guys complain about having a loli even if she is one of the best blacks in the game. But a 99% solution is the best we'll get.

Yeah, event units have drastically reduced Rainbow Crystal exchange values. An event black is five, but a gacha black is four hundred. An event plat is three, but a gacha plat is one hundred. Event gold is only one single Crystal. I forget gacha gold, ten or thirty. And event in this case means any non-gacha unit.

And the relevant units to get with Rainbow Crystals, Black Knight and Cynthia the Battle Spirit, cost one thousand.

I guess the only other option is to use her for an experience boost to any Healer if you are left with the spare.

Yeah, I guess using her as a booster is an option, but a nagging part of me feels like it's a waste using a Black as fodder even if it's a clone.

Easier yes, but not nearly as fair. Now you've got a Liana and a Black Iris when you only actually gacha rolled 1 black unit. My suggestion gets Liana owners what they want, getting rid of her for what they should have rolled, and it keeps people who don't have Liana happy since people with Liana aren't getting any bonuses, just a trade for what they should have rolled in the first place.

Well, technically they would only have one gacha black and one gimped version of an event unit that almost everyone will have access to. I don't think that's too unfair.

while its more fair yes but it would be a long process to go through every account to check or leave it on the player to swap it some would slip through the cracks and miss there chance
what i mean as give any who have any liana a b iris straight to gift box the worst that comes is the gimped liana is still gimped but you would have a choice whether the event is worth it to you and replace or have a second liana

This allows players to make a choice. Do you want to get rid of Liana for who she should have originally been rolled as, do you want to keep her, do you want two of her once the event is over?

Either's fine...for now.

But if you look into the 8-ball and see the future that is Skill Awak, Marnie trumps all other dancers.

Fresh Marnie's cost isn't an issue, since dancer cost is already pretty damn low.
The only downside would be having to spend Rainbow Fairy, but that goes the same for Waltz if you are going for Skill Awak anyway.

For all that investment I did to AW and 5/5 Liana

I have dropped few hundred dollars on nutaku games spread out over several games.

And my only black is Saki.

I don't spend money on only one game. I spend on a few because they pleased me. SO yeah, I'll be really really annoyed if they only get pinpoint black. I have waifus to get.

So If i see a opportunity to gain my waifu, I'm going for it because 3% chance of pulling a black and even less % chance that it'll be exactly the black I want. I don't like the odds.
