Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Somehow I worry for Yan Yenna's mental and physical freedom. ;)

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Will be posting soon. Just checking with Pervy to make sure not overstepping any bounds.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

I shall be having a new post out by Friday afternoon or Saturday evening (CST time).

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Blueslime: gimme a dex check to see how proper dressed you end up, and more importantly, a perception check. Obviously Corgana tries to come after.. *checks for grease* .. soonish.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Dex check = 19

Perception check = 13

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Just to check, we went to the market, so should I respond to Blue or is this a typo? Just checking.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Pervy said that I had seen Kiyomi in the tailors, so I'm waiting on confirmation as well.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Hmnn thought that was clear, yes, Yan sees you at the tailors, all or at least those in the storefront. Also feel free to assume the vanish ends quickly and you see her, doesn't last all that long.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

New reply coming today or tomorrow one.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Taking 20 means you keep trying until you succeed, not applicable in this situation. Your roll of nat 1 bluff stands and will have.. interesting results. I'll give the others a chance to use a spell to disable the tailor, they can easily tell Kiyomi has laid it on too thick.

Edit.. wait, you ran out onto the streets and shouted it at everyone? ooook...

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Okay.... Fucking dice can destroy the best laid or thought out plans....

Running out onto the streets and drawing massive attention to yourself was not a well laid out plan. Luckily I got my emergency button still.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Welp. Making me regret not taking dimensional step cus I figured it'd cause issues. Reeeeally making me regret not taking it.

But yeah. You can't take 20 AFTER you already rolled anyways. And it wouldn't apply in this situation as pervy said. Coulda took 10 but again, you'd have to declare that before you roll.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Well the only one who suspected us as rebels is Corga... And maybe the Priestess. Nobody else knows we were or what the rebels looked like... At least as far as I was aware... So I thought maybe if I got people worked up and ran to corga and the dick they could distract them and the ensuing panic would give us a smoke screen to slip out under... :(

And shouting loudly to announce were you were would help you slip away quietly how?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Yeah. Except that nobody knew there were rebels at all in theory so we coulda just walked out and away. Well except for Orelia who's sorta the wildcard in all of this.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Wellllll I thought of maybe charming the tailor, but thought I had already used my two daily charges of charm person... Not to mention if I failed it would have just put us in more hot water after what happened in the guard house.. I don't think j gave her smoke pellets or anything either, though I guess i should have checked first. I just knew we needed a distraction and some kind of cover to be able to slip out of town quickly...

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

You used yourselfs as distraction though. Eh, now I do what I wanted to do anyway, buuut the friendly npcs wont be as friendly.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Well her first tail gives me 2 charges of disguise person a day.... Though I wonder if I could have used it to run in the stall and shape change real fast... Maybe trick people into thinking I was someone else... 50/50 hindsight... >.<

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Generally what I figured would happen is us fucking everything up. It'll probably be a running theme. We ARE pcs after all.

Also, what does failing the fort do, daze us? Just trying to figure out if I should answer the question or if I'll be dazed.
