Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

*These people aren't very good at catch...*

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

Veda turned the weapons station onto auto as the last of the threats were now anything but, and stood.

"I can probably be of more use anyways." She says calmly, the suit returning to cover her entire body once again.

DRAQUE SPACE GATE

"Dunno on the internal sensors, have to look at them to see what's wrong, and the systems for those are on deck eight. As for portable ones, yeah, those are one level below us, and we have one up here. Problem is they only have a range of about a hundred meters. Still, better than nothing."

P3x-474

Talok nodded to her. "Let me know when your ready to beam down then and we'll get going."

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

"There is one thing that might be done before I leave. I apparently ripped off more hull with my little stunt than I thought. Its a Nevaria alloy, which my ship can't synthesize. I had a small store, but it isn't enough to finish repairs with. You wouldn't have any to spare, would you? I know its a bit much to ask.."

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

"There is a small amount of spare in the cargo hold of the ship. We can get that first then beam down there, won't take long, follow me."

He'd lead her to the cargo hold then move the container with the Nevaria down to her ship.

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

"This should be more than enough." She says, simply placing the cargo container in her ship and walking back out again. "Seems I owe this cause a fair bit more now. Shall we depart?"

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

The carriers all recall their fighters, and the Shadow Wind takes up orbit. Toryn's voice responds to Talok's radio call. "Give me a few moments. I've got to get suited up before I can help out planetside."

VELOKIAN PLANET

The Ingrali stare at the creature, unsure if the brain there is what is controlling it. One speaks to the human viewing them. "Are you seeing this? You said you didn't create this thing?"

"Trust me, I wouldn't risk a leak like running something wireless. It must have used parts of other drones. And no, I don't have cameras. Only scanners." A crackle fills the air as the blades of the drone are starting to be charged with electricity, lightning arcs now and then jumping between them. It takes a stomping step towards the Ingrali group.

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

P3X-474

"We'll wait for Toryn to be ready then lock onto him and we'll all beam down."

"Let us know when your ready Toryn and we will lock a beam onto you and transport you."

VELOKIAN PLANET

"The question now becomes, how did it get on board?"

The Ingrali set into motion finally. With this being an intruder, they could effectively deal with it as such. With a flicker of light, several weapons would appear in a few Ingrali's hands, likely energy disruptors of some kind. Two of them would seemingly charge at the creature, waiting for it to commit to an attack before breaking away.

Once it had committed to an attack, the weapon holding Ingrali would fire on it with the disruptors, trying to down it without hitting the vital core it seemed to be guarding.

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

It took a few moments, no more than two minutes, before Toryn replied. "Alright. Ready on my end."

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

Draque Space Gate

Daina nods in approval, then glances to Ixack.

"You and me, then. Siphon, stay here - I don't want them to sneak around us, and gain control of the ship. We'll stay in radio contact - I believe, if we take the portable sensor unit from here, then advance through the engine block slowly, we should be able to flush out any throwaways."

Perhaps, not obvious at first - the Asari meant stowaways..

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

The drone emits a roaring whirr, if that is possible, and starts to stomp towards the Ingrali, the charged blades stabbing and cutting all at once.
"Oh, it was built on the ship. The back up system must have utilized the repair drones to build it while the systems were offline. Just crack it open, that should stop the thing. It's the big crystal with the brain in it."

Re: Space and Battle Thread (Milky Way)

P3X-474

A few moments after Toryn said he was ready, a beam of sparkling white light took hold of him, Talok and Veda, and they vanished from their respective ships.

GOU'ALD SHIPYARDS

Camulus chuckled when he heard Nebula's broadcast about catching. He had to admit, this sentient ship was in a way rather funny. "That they were. Oh well, there will probably be more at another time for you to try again with."

DRAQUE SPACEGATE

Siphon nodded, handing Daina the portable scanner. "Alright, keep in radio contact then. We don't know how many would have boarded, so it's possible they would outnumber us, being as there are only us three, four if you count Thor."

VELOKIAN PLANET

The Ingrali don't bother pausing, simply altering where they are aiming their weapons and opening fire on the case containing the brain, trying to shatter that one open.

P3X-474 Planet Side

A flash of sparkling white light indicated the arrival of Toryn, Talok and Veda on the surface. A quick glance around would show this area was mostly a rolling hill, with grass covering it. Off in the distance one could spot a fairly large city, something fairly similar to New York City in a way.

Also of note was off in the distance a bunch of Draque warriors, who had seen the transporter beam people down, and they began moving that way, weapons already firing to try and hit them. At the moment, they were too far away, but they wouldn't stay that way.

"Looks like they have spotted us. Try not to let them circle about, and if you see any of them suddenly vanish like they just cloaked, say something, because they ARE able to temporarily cloak."

Re: P3X-474 Planet Side

Inside the Guardian Armor, an approximately 9-foot tall humanoid form, Toryn smirked. "Copy that. I'll have to see...The Enhanced Imaging System on this suit might be able to spot them even if they do...I haven't run into them before, so I don't have any of their tech to go by."

As he was saying this, the wrist mounted pulse cannons were already returning Shockwave-mode blasts. Not really any more accurate than what the Draque were using...But the blasts were slightly larger.

Re: P3X-474 Planet Side

Veda simply nods for a moment, as the Draque are still too far away for a proper scan. "Do we know what their cloaking is based off of?" She asks, spending the spare moment by scanning the massive suit of armour beside her.

Modular weapons and scanning systems, highly adaptable, fairly mobile. This is exactly what I would suspect an early design of my own armour would look like... I'll have to look into this sometime, ask him about it.

Taking careful aim, Veda releases a single missile at the advancing group of Draque. They shoot it down about halfway between them, so she just waits for them to get closer before doing anything else.

Re: P3X-474 Planet Side

Talok nodded. "Their cloaking is actually somewhat of a natural ability. From what we understand of it given the information Sivok has given to us is that when the Draque have access to a particular enzyme they manufacture artificially in their own galaxy, they are able to somehow alter their own bodies to become invisible. Luckily though when they do that, they can't attack until they become visible again, which suggests it requires at least some mental concentration to maintain."

Talok removed what seemed to be some kind of energy disruptor and took aim at the approaching Draque. "They will reach range to hit them in sixty seconds roughly. And it seems too they will be englobed by our allies, look behind them, I count fifty armed Wraith warriors."

Sure enough, behind them were a decent number of Wraith warriors clad in a seemingly heavy armor of sorts.

Suddenly there was a hum in the air and six Draque appeared near them. The tallest of the group spoke before Veda or Toryn would open fire. "Talok, you want us to wreak some havok from inside their lines?"

Talok chuckled then made quick introductions. "Veda, Toryn, this is Sivok and some of his men from the free Draque. They are the ones we told you about that no longer serve the Sentinels, and yes Sivok, I think havok from within their lines would be useful. Just make sure to keep that new red color to the armbands for easy identification purposes once all hell breaks loose."

Re: P3X-474 Planet Side

Veda had her arm cannon levelled at the appearing draque, but held her fire as it wasn't brandishing a weapon and knew Talok's name. She pointed it carelessly at the encroaching group of Draque, releasing the charge that was building. It was still to far however, and the entire group was able to get out of its way, the shot impacting on the hillside harmlessly.

Turning back to the group, veda started a scan on the Draque in front of her, keeping it going in the eventuality that they will cloak to go play havok, in which case she should be able to find out if she can track them.

Re: P3X-474 Planet Side

Okay...Red armbands, no shooting. Got it. Toryn switched the Shockwave mode off, and began taking more careful aim.

Anyone in a position to notice would see that the Guardian Armor's "eyes" suddenly changed to completely white.

((EIS activated. It's using a wide range of sensory devices to scan on a range of wavelengths, for the primary purpose of cutting out smoke and dirt clouds from the viewing range. I'll leave it up to you as to whether or not the cloaked Draque are visible with it, Siphon.))

Re: P3X-474 Planet Side

Sivok nodded when the others were ready, then spoke several words in Draque to his men. As one, they just simply seemed to vanish for a moment.

Toryn and Veda both would discover that their sensors were able to pick up the heat signatures from the weapons the Draque were carrying, but not the Draque themselves. However, knowing the location of the weapons meant that as long as the Draque held on to them, their body positioning could be extrapolated easily.

Sivok and his men moved into the middle of the enemy group, and just when both sides were in weapons range of each other, they de-shrouded and began firing at the other Draque. This created a massive stir amongst the other Draque, as they began having to fight not on one front, but suddenly three.

Behind them the Wraith opened fire, and Talok also began firing at Draque. Sivok himself could be seen taking out at least five already, and it seemed that perhaps Sivok had been one of their best at one time, which for the group on the planet, having him on their side was probably a very good thing right now.
