Nunu has credentials? Nunu is legit? Nunu is legal? Nunu can speakz in 3rd person?

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Which, I am hasty to point out, is again, not a status update, and in my experience when people avoid status updates, they are embarrassed about their lack of progress.

i can tell you for certain that i am not embarressed about a lack of progress.

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

I just assume Nunu has more important things to do. Australian things.

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Nunu has a bachelours degree in game design.

Nunu can't spell the name of his degree...
Damnit! I just raped my chances of ever getting a custom title>:)

Which just redoubles my certainty that if you've even started, you haven't done much; you're just not embarrassed about it.

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Alias, as much as I agree with you that we would like some assurance Nunu is making progress, I think you're taking this a little far. Maybe it's just me but you're starting to come off as a bit agressive, and personally, I don't think that's the right attitude towards people making a free porn game for all of us, so, while I would like a status update myself, back off.

Nunu, I would like an update, but I think we could wait if you don't wanna share.

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Nunu is black now.

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Nunu has existed from the morning of the world and shall exist until the last star falls from the night. Although Nunu has taken the form of Nunu, Nunu is all people as Nunu is no person and therefore Nunu is a God.

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Or Nunu could just be a plain ol' Nunu.

A plain ol' Nunu with a bachelor's degree.

Speaking of which, I'd totally add a graduation hat onto Nunu's avatar, if it actually had more than half a head.

*enjoys the slight whistling sound as the thread flies overhead off topic again*

Didn't stop me...

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Even I don't know much about Nunu. And yet for some reason I can place a lot of trust in Nunu.

Re: Possible Remake of Jungle Girl

Greetings all, first time poster long time lurker here.

In an attempt to get this thread back on topic I have the following question:

Just how much of a remake is the game going to be? Like is it just going to have updated graphics and animations but keep the gameplay simple like the original, or is this going to be a complete top-down rewrite?

I realize I could probably find the answer out on my own but I am just not up to sifting through 30 pages of post and filtering out all of the off topic ones. Call me lazy or industrious as you please but I would still very much like an answer nevertheless.

My hostility stems from disrespect, and my disrespect stems from the fact that he's refusing to give us a simple answer. Even "I'd rather keep my progress under wraps" would be more polite than simply ignoring the repeated question; I have zero respect for people who can't just be up front and honest about how they are doing on something. I'd rather hear "well I've been busy with more important stuff so I haven't actually started," my response to which would be complete understanding considering he's doing this on his own time of his own free will for no material gain. Or even "I'd rather not reveal my progress" would be acceptable; I could at least rationalize that as a possible method of just putting a cork in the bottle of constant inquiries as to how far he's come so far. Just refusing to give us any kind of answer is incredibly disrespectful to the community as a whole, because there is no reason not to give an answer. I don't understand how a simple answer like that is too much to ask for, especially when multiple people want to know it. If you can explain that to me, I'll cease and desist my little crusade right here and now.

Edit: I forgot. Here's the other reason I want to know; if Nunu is in fact too busy to have started it, then I would like to try my hand at AS3 again. I don't want to just start programming the game unless I know that he's not working on it, though; that would be extremely rude and disruptive to the game's successful completion... which is the last thing I want to do. I'd like to contribute, but not in a negative way. Is that a legitimate reason enough to ask what the progress is so far? I think it's perfectly reasonable, and refusing to give an answer seems awfully unreasonable.

@ Dark: Awesome.

@Crazy: Like the name. As far as I know it's going to be just a remake with updated graphics, but may turn into something more after that part has been published. You'd have to ask Nunu what he plans to do with it though.

Thanks for the info, more or less gave me the answer I was expecting. I plan to check back every now and then to see if any progress is reported but for now I think its time for bed.

*reads through the argument* *tries to think of a rebuttal* *realizes I haz nun, flailing arms panicking* x_x me wants us all to get along...

But, Alias does have a particular point.

Nunu, even if you can't provide details of the coding or progress thereof itself, can you at least confirm if or not coding has begun? That much should placate the masses (for now).
