There's a group translation effort for this specific game that's open sourced, you goof.
And even if there weren't, it would 99% be the translator losing motivation and not having worked on it; not "holding the translation files hostage."
That doesn't even make sense. Who would the the translator be holding the files hostage for? A ransom? lmao

I meant that as in the lad translating losing motivation and stopping, but not sharing the translation itself for other people to finish, as ive seen that happen before. Good to know thats not the case lol, fuck if i know what im talking about im not a translator, though only the last bit has been untranslated for years, how are people working on it and it is still not finished? Technical issues?

There's a progress tracker on the translation project, you can download that to see what's what. I'm not a translator either so I can't offer much insight on why the translation isn't 100%, but the last update was a month ago and the only untranslated bits are entirely optional. Nothing is preventing you from playing the mostly translated game except your own lack of motivation.

You seem to understand that translators can lose interest in projects, causing them to go unfinished.
What is confusing you about the Princess Sacrifice Translation project being unfinished due to people no longer wanting to work on it?

You can download the latest translation as xml files by going to "

," clicking on the tab directly to the right of "History" and "Find file," and selecting "Download this directory." Then you need to convert the xml files to lsb files using the directions found in README.md, and use them to replace the lsb files in your Princess Sacrifice folder.

Edit: Actually, the readme isn't a very good guide. Instead download Tools.rar and follow the directions in "Livemaker 3 What do - The short guide"

How to do you unpacked the game? Having some trouble doing this.

Hey, I cant get the text to show up. I thought this was an issue with a missing translation file, but Im getting it on the basegame too. Ive already applied the text-fix in the OP and system locale is set to Jap, no text in the boxes anywhere. Ive switched PCs last week, so Im guessing Im missing some fonts, but genuinely cant find anywhere wich ones thats supposed to be. Sorry if this is mentioned somewhere here, but Ive searched the thread and cant find anything related at first glance.


Edit: So, found the dumb fix, Ill leave it here if someone else ever has this issue. Japanese language was present in my system's 'Preferred Languages', which is why I was confused the font didnt work. On going to that language pack-> Options, there was still an option in there to actually download and install it not greyed out. Did that, restarted system and now it works. My bad mates

If it looks complicated then I'd advise you to reconsider, because I'm pretty sure I scrolled down to "Tool instructions" and then followed the directions to go beyond the most boomer of boomer anti-technological challenges. Consider this your pornographic life test.
