Re: 151 Tentacle pokemon game?
I was wondering if anyone could help me beat the Demo, if they are in the same boat as I am in...
My current roster is:
#3 (193 HP) I removed the first attack for the 1/2 Max heal
#5 (119)
#7 (268)
#9 (181)
#10 (237)
#12 (231)
Besides the heal, I have not changed out any moves.
If anyone can give me any Pro Tips in how to get to the end of the demo (I'm assuming it is after you fight the "Dark Lady", but I can't even get past the Male Gym Leader), I would much appreciate it.
Let's ses, your roster has:
#3 Grass type, maybe good again Takeshi's second hogemon
#5 Normal type, super weak, and only normal attack
#7 Poison type, poison MAY work well against THAT last hogemon, if you can get it in
#9 Water type, useful for dealing great damage against Chris's second hogemon
#10 Grass type, maybe good again Takeshi's second hogemon
#12 Ghost type,
ゴーストペイン (Ghost Pain) is very effective against Chris's first and last hogemon. It still can't win against the last one alone.
A move I find especially useful is
アンコール (Encore). This is the key to beat the first, third, and fourth hogemons easily. Even the super weak hogemon can win against the first one alone.
First one: leave a mon with
Encore at the top of your list (use command
ならびかえ) to arrange your roster). Attack on the first turn, then
Encore on the second turn. The enemy will be stuck powering up itself and unable to do ANY damage against you. However, be sure to pay attention when Encore goes out of effect (a message with the word アンコール will be displayed when it does). Use
Encore right after that, or all your mons will be OHKO. Encore can last from 0 to an unknown number of turns.
Second one: leave a weak mon to take the first attack (Leech Seed), then swap for a grass mon with heal and use normal attack, or something that can deal great damage. FYI, I used a fire mon and finished it in three turns, but you don't have any fire mon.
Last one: again, encore on the second turn so it's stuck casting auto heal for nothing. Then pummel the thing with your best attack, and hope that you don't get paralyzed when encore is off. And don't think about reserving your HP/PP. All your mons will be healed and power up.
When Chris appear, choose first option (allow your mons to do ANYTHING to you if they win) to fully heal and power up your mons by 25% (motivational effect), and especially, bonus scene after the fight. Second choice (allow your mons to do ANYTHING to Chris if they win) will heal and power up as well, but no scene for now. I didn't choose third choice, but from the context, it may very well demotivate your mons (allow your mons to do ANYTHING to Takeshi if they win).
Fourth fight: it will cast Doom (your mon die after 3 turns. Pay attention to the counting message with number). Use encore on second turn, so your mon can escape (and thus negate Doom too). After that bring your ghost mon and use
ゴーストペイン. If your ghost get Doomed, swap it out when the counter reach 1, then swap it in again. Don't worry, your powered up ghost will win.
Fifth fight: bring your water mon, and bring this thing down fast.
Sixth fight: thing get messy here. There's no sure way to win this fight. Normal attack won't work. Elemental attack will be weaken since the enemy reduce ALL your stats with each attack. Switching mon will reset the stats, but the HP damage stays. Just try to poison/burn the thing, and heal. If you get lucky, it will be poisoned. And if you get lucky again, it will die before all your mons die.
On a side note, that weak hogemon is immune to stat reducing effect, but it's to weak to begin with. Healing may help it live for a while.
