[WIP - Full] [RJ318368] Shrift 2 Demo/Game Hand Translation


It's just Jurou-gumo's recruitment sidequest that's untranslated, not the main story. You meet her on your way to the MOW facility, but you don't fight her yet.
 
I downloaded the demo on DLSITE but it kept having this error message. Does anyone know how to fix it? Screenshot 2024-05-23 201332.png
 
I see the patcher uses .Net 8.0 now. But it still gives essentially the same error as before after installing it with windowsdesktop-runtime-8.0.5-win-x86.exe Darn these newfangled versions of .Net...
 
Is there a way to add the patch on an android phone? I'm using Maldives RPG to run the game, but adding the translation exe to the folder with the Game.exe doesn't do anything.
 
Hello when i am trying to apply the patch i get this error can u tell me what i am doing wrong ?

is the patcher in the same folder as the game exe from what it says its not in the same folder
 
V1.41 of the Shrift 2 Translation has just been released! At this point, all content in Shrift 2 has been fully translated in preparation for the upcoming Chapter 2.5 release!

Changelog:
  • Jorou-gumo's side quest has been translated.
  • All other Jorou-gumo content such as My Room, skills, scenes, and bonding quest as been translated as well.
  • Sphinx DLC has been fully translated.
  • Hecate DLC has been fully translated.
With this, the Shrift 2 translation is feature complete! The dev has said he'll be start final beta testing for the new Chapter 2.5 content at the end of the month. We'll be starting on translating the new content as soon as it comes out. Thanks again for your support!

To install:
Each DLC comes in a downloadable zip.
  1. Unzip the files.
  2. Copy the www folder into your Shrift's www folder.
  3. Talk to Jabberwocky in Izayoi Hotel. The included zip should have a text file, which will have instructions on how to install it and a code. Put that code in and you should get an item that should let you see the DLC content when you sleep at night.
 
I ran into a few untranslated lines when starting the Jorou-Gumo sidequest, specifically when talking with the guy in Spiderruin. Aside from that, seems to work great! Thank you for the hard work!

Did you patch the new version that recently came out that had a really big patch with new demons? I don't think that's been translated yet.
 
What should I do if such an error occurs?

is there any quick fix for getting the translationn to work with the new version ?
 
V1.5 of the Shrift 2 Translation has been released alongside our July Patreon update! This covers a lot of the new content that's been added over the last month, letting the patch work with the new, updated v2.56 release.

I highly suggest getting the newest version off of DLSite and updating quickly, as a bunch of updates have been releasing to the game that could make this quickly outdated.​

Changelog and a list of new translated things:
  • Anubis's content has been translated! To start her questline, go to the Convenience Store once you're far enough into the story.
  • Mormo's content has been translated! To start her questline, go to Spiderruin village further into the story.
  • A bunch of new shops that were added to the Shopping Center!
  • Slots are now in the Casino!
  • A laptop and planter boxes have been added to your room at the Church.
  • Challenge quests have been added! To get one, check the scroll in your room at the Church in the morning while you have a bonded demon equipped. The hardest difficulty of quests is a good source of money, and provides some of the hardest combat challenges so far, for people who want to min/max their build.
  • A bunch of typo fixes and missing lines from the last patch.
Things left to be translated:
  • The new content with the Dolls.
  • New content with Familiars.
  • The new cooking content, unlocked with doing a quest for Nina. (This just released last week, unfortunately couldn't get it into the update in time, sorry!)

Along with our September Patreon update, we're releasing V1.6 of our Shrift 2 patch! This covers all current content in the game as of this release.

Changelog:
  • A big new story quest has been translated, taking place after the end of Chapter 2. Investigate a missing persons case and explore Shizetsu, House of Dolls, home of Reimei & Hakubo. (Requires Chapter 2 completion)
  • All My Room content with Reimei & Hakubo has also been translated, alongside their bonding quest, which covers the finale of the Shizetsu content.
  • All the cooking content with Nina and it's accompanying quest has also been translated! (Requires Chapter 2 completion)
  • The Familiar content and accompanying quest has been translated. This requires you to be bonded with Siren, and also likely Chapter 2 completion.
  • Fixed some minor issues with the DOD.
  • Translated text for a few new added scenes with the v2.56 update.
  • Grabbed a missing a bit of text with Yami.
  • Translated some added text for Daily Quests.
  • Fixed other minor typos and missing text.
