RPGMakerMVGame Hook patcher / How to hook RPG Maker MV Games


Use the extraction tool on the executable (the file you click to play). You have to rename the folder wich is %DEFAULT% (or something like that) into something else.

I used the EnigmaVBUnpacker and i get this error

[x] This file is not protected with Enigma Virtual Box or is hacked.

I tried on all rpg games i had and all i get is this error, anything i can do? Btw i tried to just run the game.exe with hook patcher but it failed aswell.

No idea, the x86 hints that iot may have to do with the operating system version (32 and 64 bits), try to download the enigma again and check is for your operating system version.
 
Hi, I kind of lost with the Regex code. Need some help with understanding it.

This game (RJ206421) have repeat text of the date money and 2 other fields which i am not too sure what it is. So in order to try and error on the Regex code, i did this (/^(\d{1,7}日)/,/^(\d{250000} G)/) to remove the date and money. But doesn't seem to work.

Would really appreciate the help. Thank you
 
Hi, thanks for this useful little program. For years everything was going alright, but suddenly VNR translates the content of Current and Log, with the result that the text translated gets bigger for each additional line of in-game text until I get the error for too many characters. I already tried 2 different games with the same result, maybe there were even more but I didn't recognize the source of the problem until now. Pushing the clear log button every time isn't a really practicable solution. Maybe I am not the only one with this problem and I appreciate any solution.

I guess a quick and very dirty fix would be to get rid of the digits altogether, like adding "\d" to the regex filter when installing the hook patcher onto the game, or after it is intalled, editing "Clipboard_llule.js" in the www\js\plugins, and adding "/\d/" to the "var IgnoreRegExtextbloc" line - between the square brackets.
So that that line would look like this:
"var IgnoreRegExtextbloc = [/^\d\d:\d\d($|.$|。$)/,/(^([,.\d]+)([,.]\d+)?)(\uFF27($|。$)|G($|。$)|$|。$)/,/^(\uFF27($|。$)|G($|。$))/,/\d/];"
or something. Be advised, though, I know almost nada about regex... xD
But this seemed to work when I tested it.

Which are the 2 games you were mentioning? I haven't had anything the like happening to me with this patcher... And what do you mean by the "Current and Log"? Anyhow... Check if you have VNR set up correctly for Cliplogger - the opening post from libellule here has instructions on that (like to definitely NOT have Text and/or Sub sent to the clipboard, in VNR).
 
Well, i cant download on the first site the Virtual Packages Extractor... then i click it always show me "404 Not found" and yes i deleted my cookies and tryed with other browser too..., the first extractor dont work on my pc -.-

First off, thanks for trying to help me. VNR is set up like described in the opening post, "Text and/or Sub to clipboard" are deactivated. I tested them and the distortion they cause in the translation is different from mine. The content of the ClipLoger is like it should be. The source of the problems seems to be located somewhere in the last step, when VNR copies the content of the ClipLoger. There is only one thread with japanese letters: ExTextOutW 56c7 UTF-16. The problem is as follows: A new text line in-game appears, then the new line automatically appears in the "Current" box of the ClipLoger and is added to the content of the "Log" box. So far everything is as it should be. But VNR does not only translate the content of the "Current" box but also the entire content of the "Log" box of the ClipLoger, each time a new line appears in the "Current" box. In logical terms the Output in ExTextOutW 56c7 is as follows: FirstSentence FirstSentenceSecondSentenceFirstSentence ThirdSentenceFirstSentenceSecondSentenceThirdSentence FourthSentenceFirstSentenceSecondSentenceThirdSentenceFourthSentence. Probably the solution is simple, and I am just blind, nevertheless I switched from VNR to another program and everything works fine, so no further problem solving effort is necessary.
I once mixed up the abbreviations WHO (World Health Organisation) with WoH (World of Hentai, a german hentai board) in the public, repeatedly, so my threshold for feeling embarrassment is pretty high.

So I just downloaded the tool to try and translate some games from Japanese RPG Maker Games into English but I'm having difficulty doing so. The Hook program seems to work but only by turning Kanji into hiragana.

Am I missing a step in to make it translate into English?

Edit 1: Where can I get that VNR program that Libellule talked about?

I notice that your VNR hooks itself to a "ExTextOutW" thread when connecting to Cliploger. I think that is the problem. You should probably...erm..."re-teach" VNR regarding how to connect to Cliploger.
You should
1) Remove the "Cliploger 1.0.0.7" entry from VNR's spring board (spring board comes up when double-clicking on VNR's icon in the taskbar's notification area; the same board that comes up after starting VNR and it loads its databases and such - with the previously hooked applications and games) by clicking it once and then clicking on remove
2) go through with hooking VNR to Cliploger as per the instructions in the opening post; the connecting thread should be an "lstrlenW" and defo not an "ExTextOutW" one.

But now I'm having trouble making the program translate the game into English.

Do you know how to do that?
 
There really is a ton of tutorials out there, regarding VNR. You should just look at them (really, just google "VNR tutorial" or something)...

I am currently looking for some good tutorials on Youtube, if you know of any please give me a link.

My Current problem is that this is what the game is giving me.


And this is what the ClipLoger is giving me.


As you can see the Cliploger is NOT translating the Japanese text to English.

If you or anyone else might know what I'm doing wrong please tell me.

The help would be greatly appreciative.

Before anything, please read through the opening post in this thread... You need to hook VNR to Cliploger, and it will be VNR that gives the translations when properly hooked and configured.

I DID hook VNR to Cliploger and configured everything the way it was shown but for some reason It still isn't translating right.

Could I be missing something?

The only way I can get anything translated at all is by going into the "Test Machine Translation" in the menu. But not only are the translation bad (which is ok given that it is a free translation program) but it has a limit to the amount it can translate so the moment I come to a large sentence or paragraph it wouldn't work.

I know it is asking a lot but do you think to could post a few screenshots of how to get it to translate into English, just so I know what it should look like.

^ M'kay, read this , then read the opening post here again, and you should know what to do. It has pictures and everything.
 
hi i got a problem that has been already since long ago but happen more frequently now. The text hook pretty consistent for example it hook 1 dialogue then didn't hook next 2 dialogue then hook dialogue again for 4-5 times then didn't hook for 3 dialogue. And it was happen for every mv game. Did i accidentally change the default option or something?

It does pick the other pieces of text as well but this one repeating keeps deleting them all the time, would there be some way to block this with RegEX?

Me too.Please someone help. I inputed this code ^(Cキーでダッシュ)($|.$|。$) into the regEX and it didn't work.

Edit:Figured it out. Just input (Cキーでダッシュ) to the regEX and add and it will work.
 
I'm having that enemy name bug in TALE OF UNDERCRUST

TA is being spammed with it 24/7 preventing it from translating pretty much anything while in battle.

I don't know what's causing it to repeat the way it does, I presume YEP but none of the options fix it.

Edit: Okay it definitely is YEP, my solution currently was to totally nuke the whole YEP battle engine plugin using Notepad++(Delete all the code inside but not the file that way the game runs without YEP, because otherwise it just wont run).

Edit2: This breaks the health bar, but I'm sure it's possible to simple rip out the naming functions and leave everything else. Might give it a try.
