It's often been a big hang-up for me in H-games, where I might like the overall scene itself, but if I feel unsatisfied with the events that led to it, it can somewhat kill the enjoyment. Eg, an RPGM game recently played where you had to deliberately enter the same event three times to get the full/final scene, yet the writing didn't provide any logical reason for why the character ever would. Couldn't even play it off as a sluty character intentionally putting herself in the situation each time, because the writing of the scene very plainly stated otherwise.
Same for me on both of these stances. Have never really viewed any form of porn or H-games as a self insert scenario. Even in purely imagined scenes whilst in bed, it's always more of a spectator or director thing. I can still enjoy vanilla stuff, but generally only when there's some kind of intrigue or other aspect to it. If it's just an animation of a dude humping a girl, it's nothing.

Yeah. Succubus Heaven has long been a favourite example of mine. Where a game that barely offers any actual control to the player, can still be highly enjoyable due to making the H-content, the mechanics, and the theme, all interlinked. It uses gradually building anticipation and it's theme very well. Unlike in probably most games, you're not simply hunting to watch a few animations for a while, you're enjoying the peril of the scenario itself, making the eventual payout worth so much more. Same reason I count games like MaidenSnowEve and JumbleJokers among my favourites.

Latest devblog post shows poll results of what type of protagonist the game should have, with a female protagonist coming out the highest.
Dev also explains though, how he chose to use male characters anyways despite leaning towards using a female protagonist for the game.

I got on their patreon, and it's hard to tell for now, there's only one type of ennemy with two sex scenes per girls (one standing and one in downed state), the shooting mechanics still need refining as well as some gemplay mechanics (for instance, you can fuckheal your characters while being ganged up by zombies because the heal is greater than the damage output)

May trial is up for anyone who's a patreon. There's a lot that he could work on like character animations and such. Other than that, it's pretty fun. It's like a solo L4D but with porn. He added a mechanic where if you were to rape one of the girls you have a bar, heart shape fill up gauge and a timer, think of it like Pangya. If you time your clicks correctly you get scores: Bad, Good and Perfect and the girl would get a temporary stat boost. Don't know what stats though.
Some of my complaints so far is the bar click from having sex with a girl. It's more distracting cause it's in the middle of the screen covering the characters. Also one of your girls can block you, especially if you want to go out the door if you're getting swarmed. Would be nice if he were to add a no clipping button in the settings.
Other than that, so far so good. Can't wait for the release. I wouldn't mind a delay too to improve it cause it has so much potential if he gets rid of some of the glaring bugs.

game feels great for a hentai game. the only problem is the spread past 3 shots. makes storm troopers look like the american sniper. jokes aside, the spread is bad so tap fire and go for headshots. even up close full auto is pointless because bodyshots don't deal much damage and you miss everything.
only got 1 game over rape/death. the death happened off screen, you just see blood splatter into view. i hope that's not the case in the full version, this is a horror game.
for the life of me, i can't time the heal sex. it has to be out of sync, out of 10 tries, all were bad. i've gotten it once to heal and that was pure luck.
the cross-hairs on the desert eagle take way too long to re-align if you fired too fast with it. which greatly hinders it since it's a semi-automatic weapon and has the smallest clip.
those are just some of the things i hope they work on.

Yes you have to burst fire a lot with the guns. Also for your death, do you mean with Aya the glasses girl or Hikari Red head? If you were talking about Hikari your game mightve glitched. If you're talking about Aya when she gets dragged under, it's like that on the other Patron only releases. He does however plan on improving the Game Over Scenes. Example would be the Hikari Death Scene from the Patron releases had no sound effects and different camera shots.

About the giant zombie death. It's still in the game. I don't know how much info I could share with you but just in case I don't want to lose his trust as a patron. Some of the scenes in the Patron only releases are still being worked on including this one.
Yeah the worm death has looked like that throughout all the trials. Don't take my word for it but he might touch it up like he did with the Hikari game over.

can you explain how the healing works? what do i press while the bar is moving? i'm not sure if space bar cancels, but i just can't heal no matter what time i press it.
oh and does it matter which is the killing hit or is it based on the stage for the H scene?

The defend stage is the only stage in the game atm, beating it rewards you with some sexy time with the red head and that's it. Sadly, that means the green haired girl has no H scene yet. And yeah, there's some bloody deaths in the game over rape scenes, not ryona or gore focused, they just die execution style.
You press f next to the two fighting girls to fuck them and you left click when the bars aligns, keep doing that to heal the girl and render her temporarily immune after you complete the fucking routine it seems. At around 3:59 you have a lot of time to fuck heal until 2:59. Saving your grenades towards the end will pretty much guarantee a win.
Welp, time to wait a year for sizable content again.
