The Adbot's Revenge!

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

Siphon grinned widely, and after everyone was safely clear of the area, he turned and looked back to the place they had called home for a short time. After one final check to be certain that no one else was left in there, (he'd wait until all were accounted for), he pointed at it, said a few words and then took a step back.

Several moments passed, and then out of no where, seemingly coming from the sky itself, a bright blue beam of energy came streaking down, twice. The first shot that connected obliterated a good majority of the area they had been in, while the second finished it off, leaving a small smoldering crater where the barracks and everything had once been standing. A moment longer passed, and some might here him mutter, "I'd like to see those fuckers salvage anything from THAT. Oh wait, there isn't anything left."

That done and said, he whipped around, picking up the massive gun turret again, and proceeded off to follow the others at a respectable distance.

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

"Damn show off" Burrito simply says, his right hand scratching the back of his head as he sighs "Warn me before you do something like that" he says, the City in sight as he continues walking "Get your ID's ready. When we enter the city, we're gonna need 'em"

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

There is a brief, "sorry, meant to use the rail cannon instead of that sir," before he fishes into his pocket, producing the card in question. Another moment passes as he mutters to himself, "kind of glad that it wasn't the drones though, that would have been really really bad."

He holds up, letting anyone who may have fallen behind him move ahead of him. Seemed that he was deciding to guard the rear of the group, or perhaps there was another reason he was staying that far behind. Some knew that he still wasn't fully comfortable with what he was starting to think he was, and it had begun to outwardly show as of late.

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

"In that case, I should turn back?" Kelinas said quickly, "Though I got Lurk's ID on me..."

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

((Actually Copper, I think you share a little blame as well.))

((Yeah, but not my fault you didn't get a ride. Crow's can't carry people.))

Yes, quite out of the way of the blast from the sky. "Well, if anybody left anything in there, they're S.O.L."

As they walk, she indulges in yet another cigarette. Gonna have to pick up another pack or three when we hit civilization again. At Kel's question, she shrugs. "Dunno, you might fit through the gate easier than Lurker. See what they say. If they give you a hard time, just change back then."

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

"Lurker should learn to be himself" Burrito says, the whole group arriving at the gate as Burrito shows his ID, the vBulletin guards allowing him in, then blocking the others

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

Kel sighed. "Aw, let the RPer have it's fun, and besides, some of us is useful," she points out as she waves Lurker's card to it.

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

After searching his pockets it seems his ID is forever lost in his coat...
"Damn, don't tell me I need to go through with that annoying sign up process again..."

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

"Tch. Why I use the 'sign me out - never' option." Reaching into the inner pocket of her jacket, she removes the card and holds it up, flashing both sides to the guard. Once she'd gained admittance, she tucks it away again, turning around to wait for the others with arms crossed. "Will y'all hurry your asses up? Laaaaag." She teases.

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

Siphon muttered something that didn't sound like English, and then flashed his card to the guards, dropping the weapon itself off with them. It took three of the people there to move the thing, whereas he had barely broken a sweat doing so. That done, he didn't say another word, he just started to wander off, looking for a quiet place he could remain by. He passed by Copper, only pausing long enough to nod to her and smile slightly before continuing on his way, some strange expression on his face, but it didn't seem to be about her at all.

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

Copper inclines her head to Siphon as he passes, arching a brow and watching him curiously. Those watching her see a grin come to her lips, briefly, before she turns her attention back to him. He has about a second or so warning before he hears "Yee-hah!" and feels a pair of arms wrap around his shoulders and a pair of legs at his waist. "See you at HQ, Burrito! This boy needs some cheer!" She looks at him over his shoulder, grinning. "Onward, trusty steed. I need smokes and you need to stop wool-gathering. Giddiyap!" She points off down the street.

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

"Copper, get off him. Him and I have a private matter to discuss." he says, making a karate chop to Copper's head lightly, just enough to show her who's boss, then prying her off him and setting her down "You can drink later" he says, his left arm over Siphon's shoulders as he guides him down a side street, then whispers quietly "I need a second in command, and I was wondering if you wanted the position" he says, a smile on his face as he continues to walk and lead Siphon "If you're interested, I'll put in the word to command and you get promoted to Sergent. Bloody fair deal, don't you think?"

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

He has enough of a warning to think 'oh shit', to himself before he is run into by her. His legs seem to hold despite her running into him, whether because he was braced for an impact, he was that strong or because she didn't really weigh that much probably would never be known. Most likely he had been braced for an impact, and knew how to absorb it though. He opened his mouth to say something, when she beat him to it, her words sparking a smile on his face, though she wouldn't be able to see it from her angle. He was about to reply, when Burrito spoke up and removed her. He nodded once to him, then spoke quickly to Copper. "Hang on here a moment or so, I'll try to come back in a few if I have the chance, otherwise I'll catch up to you a bit later."

He heads down the side street with him, his eyes blinking with what is said. He is speechless for a few moments, obviously stunned before finally saying, "I would be honored sir. Thank You."

He's definitely surprised at this, but more than willing to accept and meet the responsibilities required of that position.

"Good, Good, Now, go take Copper for a little spin and let's meet up at command at 18:00 hours" he says, smiling as his right hand reaches for the comm in his right ear "Command, we're all inside the city. Siphon has accepted. Prepare the paperwork and we'll be there around 18:00 hours. Burrito out" he says, his right arm dropping to his side "Okay, you're all free to do what you want until 18:00, at that time, we'll meet up at Command for a briefing" And with that, he salutes and walks off into the city

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

She actually hisses at Burrito for hitting her. "A simple 'Hold on' would have been sufficient." With a slight snarl, she watches the two of them head off, eyes snapping over to a pedestrian who'd been watching the exchange. "What're you looking at, juicebag?" She snaps her teeth at him and he hurries off, leaving her glaring a little after the other two men, arms crossed, sucking on one of her fangs.

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

"Yes sir, and thank you again." He waits until after Burrito has turned around, then heads back to where he left Copper, a grin crossing his face. He walks up, then wraps an arm around her waist, hoisting her back into the position she was in before with some fancy movements, a grin on his face. His grin turned to a small smirk and he nodded slightly. "Best hold on tight, this could get a little bumpy."

He takes off at a run down the street, the only hiccup in his movement being when they come to a bench in the area that he didn't remember being there before, and rather than slowing to turn around it, he leaped over it like an Olympic hurdler, his inhuman properties once again showing. Once they were far enough away he spoke as well. "I didn't pin ya for being a cowgirl ya know? Course, now people are gonna think there's something going on between us, you know that right? And I don't mean what Burrito was thinking either, he just was thinking along the lines of you feeding. I think."

She can tell by the tone, he's playing around, but at the same time, he doesn't seem like he'd be objecting to the idea either. "So where are we heading anyway?"

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

She definitely lets out a surprised noise as he picks her up, especially as he manages to get her onto his back again. "No argument there." He can feel her hugging him with arms and legs again before he takes off. The jump doesn't even phase her. In fact, it elicits a cheer from her more than anything else.

Once they do slow down, she gives him a squeeze. "Down that way. Best tobacco in town." She grins as she directs him. "And just because I don't look like a cowgirl doesn't mean I don't like to head out for a ride," she replies with another grin. Her chin rests on his shoulder. "Let 'em think. Nothing wrong with it. The only ones it matters to are the people involved." He might notice her glancing around. "Although, come to think of it, as long as we are in civilization, I probably ought to grab a bite to hold me over. Smokes first, though."

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

He grins back as he alters direction. "Indeed, that is true. Just going to be humorous if anyone asks questions, but I'm not going to worry about a reply on that until it happens." The tone he has indicates he might have a practical joke or two in mind anyway, despite his words.

"Yeah, you need to feed yourself too. I should probably eat some kind of human food while we're here since I don't often get a chance to eat really good things, unless you count electrical energy." There is a long, almost awkward pause before he adds in, "also, a thought. I know you probably figure this already, and might be a bit hesitant to think like this but... If you ever run into a situation where you have to feed on someone and there isn't much available, and I am around, don't hesitate to take what you need. Alright?"

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

"Eh, let 'em ask. Nobody ever said we had to give straight answers." She grins. "Okay, and turn right here," she states, obviously quite comfortable with his carrying her, especially since she's also resting her chin on his shoulder. "Well, I try not to let myself get too bad for that, though. And it's why I usually take a nip or three into battle with me. Just in case. But I do appreciate the offer." She pauses. "Course, I think you'd be one of the only likely candidates anyway. Not sure how many of the others are built for the task."

Re: The Adbot's Revenge!

Burrito, after walking through town, stops at a large building with guards in fron of it "Let me in" he says, flashing his ID "Yes sir!" the guards say, opening the doors and letting him in "Oi, old man! You still in here or what!?" he yells out, asking at the same time "Keep yer pants on, sonney, I'm coming" and old, high pitched voice says as a clacking is heard on the ground, an old man walking out of a nearby door and sighing "Old man, I need some internal repairs. I released the gas bomb earlier, and my entire stomach has been aching ever since" he says, the old man leading him into a lab of sorts with a table "lay down, number 12. I'll see what I can do. And take off that stupid piece of junk you call armor" the old man says as Burrito unbuckles the shoulders of the bulky part of his armor and removes it, then removes the shirt underneath, revealing a large twelve written on his back, as he removes his orange goggles for once, revealing his left eye forced shut "You sure you can't do anything about this old eye of mine?" he says, laying down on the table and sighing "Can't say that I can, Number 12. Now, sleep, and I'll awaken you when we're done" the old man says, preparing his equipment as Burrito falls asleep
