Yes, Sinful, but it was a Navy Senior Chief: guy's got 15+ years in the navy, knows his shit forwards and backwards. Granted, he's still an enlisted, but it's the equivalent of a Master Warrant Officer in your army. And obviously I made damn sure to return the salute and address him as "Senior Chief," because he's put a lot more effort and time into his rank than I have into mine. Just weird receiving those kinds of honors from someone who's put more in.

Y'know I think you sound like one of the few officers I would have liked. I would gladly salute you as well, though I wasn't quite a master sergeant/first sergeant/ senior chief like he was. Please accept a long distant salute from a lowly staff sergeant.
