I love mt family, have warm and fuzzies for my friends, love sitting in front of a heater or fire or something, sleeping, chocolate ice cream, and peace and quiet.
1)I have to spend money on people who aren't myself
2)It's the only time of the year that being along really affects me.
May be an 'emo-ish' reason, but for the rest of the 364 days of the year I'm the depraved bastard that everybody loves (read: hates). And I wouldn't have myself any other way.
I love finally getting away from my family to some nice Fallout 3, because as Yahtzee said on Zero Punctuation, "Seeing peoples body fly in one direction, and their head in three others never loses its charm!"
I for one loved seeing my family this Christmas, and they me. I loved being home for Christmas this year, though at the same time a part of me wishes I was back in the desert with my buddies.
Regardless, being away taught me how important family was. So, I love me family.
