I'll just mention that at one time, I had a full 230gb external drive filled with only hentai. And then it let out some smoke, and stopped working. Now I only keep the highest quality stuff on my computer, I got 34mb now. (Hidden in a folder, in a folder, in another folder)

I'm not actually sure how much hentai I have, due to the way I keep it hidden. It is more time consuming, but for hidden-ness there is almost no substitute (other than keeping it on a hidden physical drive, but as XSI's plight pointed out, that has it's own problems).

Put the hentai into a zip. (This is not necessary but important when the collection grows and you have 200~individual files and cannot remember what each is.) Put the zip in the folder for a game you will never share or uninstall. Alternately it can go in the same directory as any large program - ISO's for games you will never install or already have installed are good ones, as long as you don't want to share them. Rename the zip file to be in line with the names for the other files, for instance DXP2Data-Extra.sga in Dawn of War's DXP2 folder. Try to keep the zip the same size as the files it is around.

Ways to notice it - if the file is supposed to be text readable, it will not be when converted into a text document. The file creation date and time will not be the same as the rest of the files. The file will not remove when uninstalling the program. However, as long as you don't uninstall the program, the rest of these ways require going through each file in each game and checking the time created, which is very difficult and certainly not something you would stumble upon accidentally. You do have to clear your recent documents and history, of course, but that is a given for any hentai hiding scheme.

Problems: It is very time consuming to view a zipped dojin without extracting. Everything watched has to be unpacked before it will run. It is very time consuming to sort and add new things to categories, leading to a large number of zips with muddled contents. You can forget where everything is, though you could just keep a list of the locations and file names in a similarly hidden document, that way you only have to remember the location and name of one file.

This hiding in plain sight method removes the need for suspicious things like hidden folders or passwords, and if not used for everything, is still a good way to hide that favourite bit of hentai that you really don't want to risk loosing.

I don't even bother hiding my stuff, what little I do have is sitting right on the desktop in a file labeled hentai. Not that I actually have anyone to hide it from either though so...meh.

All my stuff is on my laptop, and is in my regular pictures file. The only one who really goes through my laptop is my girlfriend so I don't care.

Currently, the only people I have that go on my comp is my BF, who goes straight for games, and our one friend that is over almost every weekend, and he goes straight for one or two games, and facebook. I have a fairly cluttered desktop, and I have actually managed to find a spot where the folder is really well camoflaged against the background, so it isn't really all that risky ;)

I also have a shortcut to my folder hidden behind the xfire thing. Nobody would ever bother to move that out of the way, and it's hidden from people who just happen to look at the screen.

It's useful to have an acceptable, known program that is really good at hiding a part of your desktop.

I don't use XFire or anything of the sort, but that does seem like a clever idea I oughta look into something like that for when I move. Two extra people in the house afterwards, and I think this is going to become the public computer :/

Heh. I only have about 2 gigs of hentai, and I hide that in a simple folder. My family thinks I do Photoshop, so I hide them in a folder entitled "Unfinished Works" and it keeps them safe. If I ever have to wipe them though, I can always store them on my 8 gig flash drive.

XD I just keep a folder in my 'Pictures' file labeled 'inevitable porn stash'. Since there are many other folders and pictures in 'Pictures', it doesn't immediately stand out. Then again, I'm not too worried about people snooping around.

I just keep mine in my desktop. It's so cluttered(right now 62 different shortcuts and folders) and the folders' names don't stand out, so I doubt anyone would notice. Not that anyone is going to search my computer anyway. My family occasionally uses my computer, but they only surf in the web.

Christ, how do you people have gigs of hentai? Variety and quantity is nice, but do you need that much? I could personally alternate between 2 things every day and still get a good fap out of them. You people probably have 10 hentai movies or something. That's overkill.

I have a 340mb folder of doujins and a folder of Zone's finest. It's never failed me.

I have 3.6 gigs of pictures right now. Some of that is replicated in zip archives and some of that needs weeding, but that's still about 3 gigs of pictures I like(actually less than that, I just checked and there's lots of stuff that I should remove). I like watching slideshows, so I've divided them into folders of about 100-200 pics each and I can just pick something I want to watch(catgirls, tentacles, yuri etc.). That's still pretty much, but it's all good stuff that I like to watch and space is cheap(although my laptop is running out of space) so there's no need to remove any of them. On top of that I have a folder of movies(most of which I have not watched yet and will remove after watching) and a folder of games. Yeah, I could get on with less. But why bother?

Well, I've got one of those sucky computers that don't have 500 GB of space, so I can't spare much space.

I usually go online for my hentai needs anyway.

At a time, long ago, before the thing I stored it in stopped working, I had 40-50 games, between 50-70 movies, and about 2000-3000 individual pictures. I never bothered counting how many pages of comics/doujins I had.

I never actually looked at any of them after I first saved them.

I have only less than 150 myself. But you can get 1 TB drive for about €100 and smaller drives for cheaper(Since Finland has high taxes you can probably find one for about €70 or less if you really want to get one cheaply.)

Meh. It gets saved up over the years in my case. Started saving when I was. . . eighteen, yeah. So, anyways. Quite a bit of what I have is old stuff that I found using Google or Deviantart, and I'm glad that I saved it - or at least half of it - because I couldn't find it again.
The Flash Drive that i have 4 gigs on is mostly flash/full/click-to-advance games, including all of Zone-sama's work as well as Jungle/Demon Girl.

@Hooker: That would be true, if I ever actually payed for any of the external storage devices I have. What I have is thanks to my parents footing the bill for school supplies :p

okay, 2 things:
1)Just noticed Sin's whited text now, after a day of having quoted it myself XD

2)I keep so much on my computer because my fail internet is fail, so it's easier to just store everything on my drive, which is only a 120. I end up only having a couple games installed at once, which is how I manage.
