I get how people can think this game is exhausting, I really get it. It's a very serious game with an obscene number of job classes, races and party members each with differing passives and whatnot. It does scratch my grinding itch, but until you can access the good grinding spots (B1F of first chapter final dungeon occasionally spawns mimics; Mimic Island and Coloseum in second chapter) you probably shouldn't grind too much.
Informant Luka: I can see the logic. The Talk job classes give early-ish access to skills that paralyze/stun/freeze the entire enemy party, so combined with Luka's constant access to Talk he can consistently serve as a possible debuffer. You'll probably want a more dedicated talker for the higher level talk jobs, like Amira or the Painting Girl.
Shizuku, Little Oni: pretty meh, but is definitely a fairly decent Ajin gotten early, with an easy-to-use innate and the 3rd highest ATK of all Ajin (1st is Ox-Queen, 2nd is a tie between Oni Girl, Yamata no Orochi and Goblin). Oni Girl is definitely the stronger hammer-user though.
Gob is really fast and has surprisingly high stats (and will likely get an upgrade if OG MGQ's chapter 3 is to be believed), Vanilla has lowish stats but is the only Vampire available until midway through chapter 2, and unlocks the Pocket Castle's shop. Also, the 4 lil' kiddies get a boost if they're in the frontline together.
Ninjutsu: there was a point where Ninjutsu was mistakenly coded to have half the power of other skills, but I'm not sure if it's fixed yet.
Sing/Dance: Probably the best support skill tree in the game. Doesn't just provide buffs (AoE buffs from songs are gained much faster than AoE buffs from White Mage), but can also scatter debuffs that can stunlock most fights. Sea-creature, Lamia and Doll lines particularly learn extremely powerful exclusive dances and songs including Dragon Palace Dance, Daisy Bell, and Mechanical Dance. A good strategy for a good chunk of chapter 1-2 is to have someone spam Sexy Dance or Sparkle~ while the rest of your team does whatever.
Luka: he's definitely in a disadvantage right now, since the Hero job tree is stuck at tier 2 as of chapter 2 (most other job trees have tier 3). That said, his stats are high, his exclusive Custom Sword eventually gets ridiculous stats, and his innate means that if you put him in critical health he'll do massive damage (up to 3x) with Heroism skills. You'll definitely need to train him in various jobs if you want him to be DPS though, like Swordsman/Spellsword/Tao Swordsman lines for swording, Martial Artist/Spellfist for crit chance, Hero of Justice for Transform, Power Fighter for Power Charge. As a general rule of thumb, stacking buffs (say Transform+Attack Song+Spellsword Fire+Daisy Bell+Power Charge) gives stupid damage numbers, and Luka has the advantage of getting to use Sylph/Gnome/Undine/Salamander (ESPECIALLY Salamander) without having to train in Summoner.
Spears: alongside Fists, one of the easier to use weapons because high AGI and AGI-scaling damage, as written above. Bonus points for learning AoE Holy/Dark skills at tier 3. Heavy Spears do massive damage if the enemy has an AGI debuff or is under Slow/Stop, Fists do higher damage on crits.
I can probably go on, but there's so much I don't know where to start.
Most monstergirls have a couple things they're good at though. You can usually make do with your favourites, at least if you're not doing shenanigans like LoC, Black Alice or Reaper.
