Anyone doing anything else before resting/switching out spells early on? Your rest will be undisturbed, though I'm in the air on spawning something as you prepare to rescue the angel in distress..

Since clerics only regain spells at certain times and miss out if they don't do it asap and Lorelai can't tell time underground she'll be praying all night. So she'll be Fatigued going into this.

Also, because I'm not sure if the dc on these guys is 5+cr or 10+cr depending on rarity, Lorelai rolled a 9 total. Figure I'll wait to post so I can act accordingly if Lorelai knows what it is or not.

9 total ain't enough to tell anything about it. You think its kinda cute mayhaps.

Anyway, I'm not so strict on the praying, you don't have to pray all night, lets assume you kinda hear a calling as it comes up or whatevs, no need to fatigue yourself.

It always was kind of a harsh rule on divine casters, but I default to the base rules when I'm unsure since, well, the default. Fair enough. I probably woulda just prepped Lesser Restoration over Ironskin to negate it come to think of it.

Lorelai needs to buy a pocketwatch. :p

Well if this plan doesn't pan out, I'll go with plan 3 and use Planar Inquiry to try and get more information on this matter.

19 is enough to realize its an immature rustmonster and a goodish idea on what they do.

In case Tenta does not know what a Rust Monster is, They're an abberation that eats metal by corroding it with their tentacles. While technically it SHOULD only work on ferrous metals, dnd doesn't really take that into account so it can eat ANY metal. Striking it with metal objects that you care to use again is thus risky. Arrows or magic or none metal weapons in otherwords.

In metagame history, the Rust Monster is as old as the game itself, Gygax used to use various toys he bought as visual aids. He used this for the rustmonster.

Jezzebelle called it a rust monster and implied it'd destroy their gear. And if we're talking about packs, well I think rust monsters don't operate in packs. Lorelai was just spitballing.

Yeah. Thats okay, time is hard to tell underground so it;s not too surprising she has trouble telling.

Eh... I was still thinking we were in the middle of resting in a nearby cave, maybe 30 minutes max after Lena was captured. Because in Lena's time, that's sort've whats happening I figured.

The earth elemental hasn't waited 8 hours to start 'pumping' Lena for information.

Lena was unconcious, she could have been out for a long while.

She got bonked on the head pretty hard yah. I'm assuming she's been out for a few hours. And isn't an extended rest, or what's needed to change spells, only 6 hours, not 8?

Did you know that being hit in the head and unconscious for more than a minute is super rare and likely indicative of horrible brain trauma?

Anyone who gets KO'd usually wakes up quite quickly.

Realistically I should also not survive falling 200 feet reliably but eventually this is also true.

Physical durability is much higher in dnd, only way it makes sense.
