Personally, I think it might be too much teasing.Shrift II looks to be in so many ways an improvement over Shrift. I love the option to switch camera angles. It means more work for the dev, but it'll make for a better game in the end.
In Shrift 1 each enemy has a "temptation pose" and 1 or 2 sex scenes.
The way Shrift 2's coming out, with all the information given, I worry it might be too much teasing.
I'm also really concerned about the amount of work he's giving himself. I don't deny, that a complete focus on POV makes it so that some scenes feel less erotic because you're not getting the full context. But every scene getting two angles seems like too much.
I also prefer the more well directed approach.
For instance, Sphinx in the first Shrift had a very nice and important kiss scene, and that scene basically only gets its point across in that one angle. If you give users the option to look at that scene from another angle, I worry that it might take away from the feeling the scene is supposed to give.
I really like the expansion on the corruption system. I feel like the original Shrift's corruption mechanic was simple and felt unfair when it took away the player's actions. This new corruption system that gives you stat demerits and the ability to ask for certain sexual favors is more erotic in my opinion. I can't imagine ever using it, but the fact that it exists increases the eroticism.
