Shrift II looks to be in so many ways an improvement over Shrift. I love the option to switch camera angles. It means more work for the dev, but it'll make for a better game in the end.
Personally, I think it might be too much teasing.
In Shrift 1 each enemy has a "temptation pose" and 1 or 2 sex scenes.
The way Shrift 2's coming out, with all the information given, I worry it might be too much teasing.

I'm also really concerned about the amount of work he's giving himself. I don't deny, that a complete focus on POV makes it so that some scenes feel less erotic because you're not getting the full context. But every scene getting two angles seems like too much.

I also prefer the more well directed approach.
For instance, Sphinx in the first Shrift had a very nice and important kiss scene, and that scene basically only gets its point across in that one angle. If you give users the option to look at that scene from another angle, I worry that it might take away from the feeling the scene is supposed to give.

I really like the expansion on the corruption system. I feel like the original Shrift's corruption mechanic was simple and felt unfair when it took away the player's actions. This new corruption system that gives you stat demerits and the ability to ask for certain sexual favors is more erotic in my opinion. I can't imagine ever using it, but the fact that it exists increases the eroticism.

I mean I personally don't see the issue here. If you feel switching to POV takes away from the the feeling the scenes is supposed to give, you don't have to do it. You don't ever have to hit that button.

As for your concerns about the dev overworking himself, I've had that concern for awhile too. Because he's working on the EX parts of Shrift, while simultaneously building Shrift 2. But the dude keeps producing results, I can't deny that. Each EX part has been really good, and EX4 seems to be the big finale. I'd also wager that once Shrift and all it's expansions are complete, he'll be fully focusing on Shrift 2 next, which may mean less work for him, or at least less headaches. He's gotten very good at animating these past couple years, and faster too it seems. So if he feels like adding a POV option, plus whatever multiple sex scenes that comes with isn't too much for him, that I have to put my faith in him on that.

The guy definitely has a real passion for the game he's created and his art, so for all we know he enjoys doing this. I mean he sometimes draws and animates characters and posts them on twitter and Pixiv just for the fun of it.

Clear the game on a Neutral ending to make them talk to Kazuya again.
(Neutral Ending A is preferable due to being the closest to Mercy run, netting you a good amount of affection. And, no, you can't have a True Mercy run after any of Genocide route variations.)

Step on the tiles in the correct order.

What's the correct order? Since i'm playing the translated machine version, i can't see it... i thought i should follow the kanji that should be on the stele, but i can't see those on it, but only english words, so i don't know which are the correct kanji.

Ok in the pastebin "pacifist" walkthrough it says get machine pistols and other weapons, if I'm not gonna kill anyone, then why the weapons? And is there a "spare" button during battle?

Lol I just CE'd the whole thing. After failing 5 times without CE and 2 times with CE, I found that if you struggle 4 or 5 times you get a blank option in your main option set. Press it and you win the fight. It is frustrating that I can never find the Lust value. If I had that, this game would be a cake walk.

And yes I did try playing this game legit, but this game is so frustratingly hard, even on it's lowest difficulty, that I just gave up playing legit after the second room in chapter 1.2.

If you want to use CE on this game, and any other RPG Maker games, use this guide:
It works...thanks for the help

how do I unlock ex1 green crystal in shrift and I finished all game with true mercy route?
If you've got a version with EXs in it, the only other requirement is to be Bonded with Mother Rabbit.

The requirements for the other EX's, while I'm at it:
EX2: Be bonded with Barghest, Lampas, and Empuse.
EX3: Be bonded with Sphinx, and have the max friendship talk with Hyakki. It should be obvious if you do this, the red chest in her room will disappear.

So I just finished the game with the new translation patch and after the credits I get this error and the game closes. Tried with a different ending and got the same error. This normally wouldn't be an issue since it's the end of the game anyway but I'm not sure the game is registering that I've completed it because of it. Anyone know how I might fix it?

Yo, which ending is this? I'll see if I can double check something after I'm done work for the day.

Tried with both Neutral ending B and C and get the same error. Thanks for all your hard work!
DM both your "Save" folder and your "PublicData.rvdata2" file so I can try to reproduce it when I have time. I'm pretty sure we didn't break anything when we were translating the Neutral Endings, but it can't hurt for me to doublecheck.
