Re: Member Announcements Thread

- Do you mean the b/f or Daniel when you say that this other female friend will hunt him down if she hears he's causing her pain? Either way, if she doesn't want this to happen, like Newbie said, it's best for her to not say anything to this other female friend.

Bf yes.
Ultimately, I guess we're kinda close, closer than I give credit for. We've had a few deep conversations on this sorta subject, it's just I've distanced myself from her like everyone else via work in the last month or so because of some unpleasantness. So it just felt kinda weird to have this from someone I've barely spoken to in the last month or two.

And the bottom line is she loves her bf, but is afraid he doesn't love her nearly as much. He treats her pretty horribly but as soon as he does something nice she's happy and content as if none of it had happened, and she doesn't know what to do.

Ultimately, I'm not going to pursue her for my sake as well as hers. I've wasted enough time chasing after dreams and longshots lately.

leastways.
That is all.

This is sending up warning flags, it's a common sign of abusive relationships. The short period of niceness is considered to be proof of their love, so she stays through the bits that apparently prove nothing. The nice bits are the reason she puts up with this crap( is she putting up with crap?), and are considered more valid than the lousy bits. Watch it, and if he hits her do your best to separate them.

Apparently so... she should leave him, as he doesn't seem to be doing much good for her, and seeing as he's dumped her a few times... that should be a fuckin clue. no?

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I really dunno what to say.

He's dumped her in the past, he's gone travelling and said "We're not in a relationship while i'm travelling but we're back on when I get back" which reeks of "I'm gonna go screw foreign chicks for a while, brb"; I'm yet to actually hear something about him I like honestly.

And now I get to feel bad because someone else can't make good choices when it comes to relationships. And won;'t listen to my advice.

Also because assholes like him get hot girlfriends who'll put up with their shit, but that's a secondary thing, I'm more frustrated at being unable to help someone in pain, especially when they won't let me help.

I hate this whole mess.

Welcome to the world. Happens every day.

That, and the nice guys always end up with the stupid, inane, crazy whores.

Oh, Hell yes.

Also don't let it bother you too much. I have a friend that's alot like that (She would never allow someone to physical abuse her... emotionally appears to be a different story) and you being a mess from worrying/or angry at her for not listening does not help at all.

If you really want to help her you have to be patient and understanding. If you don't think she's worth it... or don't want to devote time to her then just listen to her and try to not give to much advice, and just let her learn on her own.

Can't help it. Don't like witnessing others in pain. I can go from raging furious at someone to sympathetic in a second if I see enough pain (the kind not just caused by me, or when I crit with my words or something).

I'm a demon of love, maan. Of looooove. (I haven't slept and am kinda nutty, ignore the nuttiness)

Options from my (albeit extremely limited) view:
Option the first: Stay with her, keep doing your best to guide her towards what's right.
Option two: Give her an ultimatum, tell her she's doing it wrong and she needs to remover her cranium from her bowels post haste.
Third guess: Wash your hands of it, let her know that the value of your advice has been demonstrated, and that you will save it for someone who will listen.

Of course, these depend on how you feel about her, how you think she feels about you, how much of a prick you feel like, etc.

Regardless, you're the only one of us that'll have to live with the consequences.

Lawl, you underestimate my ability to whine on the forums about it until everyone gets sick of it and Nunu threatens me to stop or it'll be nasty things to me.

:D Perspective

hunh? Pocketwatch? Does the US military give out pocket watches rather than dog tags now? I'm utterly confused.
