It's not a mistranslation, you get the SSL souls by extracting semen with the Soul Extraction engram.
 
Is the modthread on steam gone? Haven't seen new link for it anywhere. Or a reason why it was removed.
 
Does the mod have a procedure for removing cursed equipment that does not have an assigned owner?

That's what I thought as well. Hasn't worked thus far.
Might be an issue with the save or something. I'll experiment with it later and see if I can sort that out. Would be great if you could buy a universal key from Memoria tbh. Idk what the state of the mod is given the steam page being taken down.

try using holy water, perhaps it can solve your problem

Cursed items you use Holy water.
This brings up the UI to add and remove items but you're able to unequipp cursed items. If you exit the menu, you have to reuse the holywater.
 
I don't see any new areas on the map, do I need to do something to unlock them?

Can you be more specific where you are in the story.
A lot of dungeons need you to progress the story to "find" the dungeon

sorry, I should have been more specific. I'm using an endgame save for the Chinese version of the game and I don't see any new areas added by the mod. I have access to all the areas in the unmodded game

That's not really what this mod is about. If you're just downloading a complete save then you're missing the purpose of this mod, which is to overhaul and add stuff throughout the game, not add some new expansions at the end.

I don't know where the new chinese thread is at, but I think the dev is still working on it? (saw a 39.1 version on google so I'd at least assume so)

Maybe the author did some change to their numbering.

Either way, the numbering actually go: 0.1, 0.2, ... , 0.9, 0.10, 0.11, ...

Yes. 0.10 comes after 0.9. As in Zero-point-nine, and Zero-point-ten.
 
Nope - you got a typo the thread was taken down after v39.02 your talking about v39.01
