So instead of aiming to punish and/or treat drug addicts they're left to starve? Makes sense, I guess. After all, human rights haven't been important in the US for at least about a decade, and it'll save money!

I just finished playing an amazing game (from beginning to finish) of Resident Evil 5 with a guy in Japan. We both knew the ropes and yet I think we both taught each other some new secrets.

With players like this guy, who don't cheat with glitches or do annoying things, co-op is proven to be an awesome feature.

They starve anyway and use it to continue buying drugs rather than food. I'm so sorry that I don't my want hard earned money to feed someone else's disgusting habit. I don't even want my hard earned money going to feed some bitch that keeps popping out babies to get more money even though she could go out and get a damn job.

My money is MINE. And if I want to give it to someone I'll do that. But i don't want it taken from me and given to people who haven't worked for it and don't deserve it.

When I meet a hard-core drug addict who has gone through rehab/prison and didn't immediately go back to their addiction of choice once they got out, I'll let you know. What Chibi says about the habits of those who are on welfare and abuse illicit substances, including alcohol, is, as far as I know, completely accurate. Also, the children of addicts are often born addicts as well, and go through such wonderful withdrawal symptoms that they oftentimes don't survive. The ones that do grow up generally turn into dealers or addicts themselves, because their fuckwit parents didn't teach them anything, so the cycle continues. Granted, it's hardly as black and white as I'm implying, but I for one don't think that this proposed law is morally in the red, in the long run.

What I do see becoming a problem, however, will be and increase in violent crime, as the addicts who can no longer get their welfare checks to support their addiction will turn to robbery as a way of gaining income.

And, a decade? Try three or four.

Edit: Also, this is totally not making me feel giddy. At all.

I'm not really as much against the law as I implied in my last post, but I certainly don't see how you'd feel giddy about it.

This reminds me of a story...

Once upon a time there was a girl named Chibi.
She lost her job and didn't know what to do.
When I heard her story, I felt sorry because I didn't want to see her blue.
Then one day, Chibi got some welfare checks that helped her out; she told us that she was happy, and we were all smiley and giddy.

I know it's a curious tale. With all those scary druggies and girls popping out babies stealing her money, who would think that Chibi could use that helping hand for good? Yeah I bet she's the only one. It's a shame we had to pay our hard earned money to help her out like that right? I mean, if she's the only one, why waste our money on all those druggies and single moms?

Welfare? I never got welfare. If you're speaking of unemployement checks because of an unlawful termination from my job that I have to pay back... then your story is a little wrong. Just a little. Might wanna get your facts straight before you start talking nonsense again.

Eh, it's technically still welfare. Even if you have to pay it back for whatever reason. Unless you meant that your former employer was paying (highly doubt it) or this is some strange form of unemployment insurance I've never heard of.

It's not welfare. The company was paying it, that's why they appealed the decision with the Dept of Labor. And because I had no idea how to go about this and no one helped me, assuring me I'd win hands down... I lost it and now have to pay every cent back to them.

Well sorry I just remembered you posting on the forum about being happy to get unemployment checks.
Also, going to deposit my unemployment check nao :'D
When I read your post about welfare, it bothered me because of those memories. I guess I was wrong about the details of it though. I'm sorry.

Apology accepted. I was getting those checks because I deserved them, cause my company was a dipshit and fired me for being sick. I wasn't just living off of those checks, though. I was running around trying to find a job while i got the money. I wasn't just being a lazy ass.

Re: What made you feel giddy today?

Had a blast running two person Killing Floor. The guy I ran into was around my perk level and we just mowed through the mission. First I landed in at Biotics lab, and he solo'd the last wave. I switched to Demo perk and we blew up the Patriach. Then we moved to Farm, I went sharpshooter and he went support. I died once but we still relatively flattened the level. Finally, Manor. All was going extremely smoothly before the Patriach level, upon which we locked ourselves in the main manor's first entry... and the Patriach, in his infinate wisdom, spawned upstairs, right next to the hole downward. I was support, with a pocket M32 grenade launcher and he was Commando again. Empied the grenade launcer as soon as he walked into the main room, then when he went to flee through the (welded) doors (which because he uses a rocket launcer to open them probably would have finished him off anyway...) I poured into him with the autoshotgun. I think he got gibbed.

Tic tac toe, three patriachs in a row :3
