Re: Tsukihime

That's BULLCRAP! I loved Ciel's True ending. Much more romantic then the vampire chick. But I don't see why you didn't like her ending, it's a bittersweet ending really. In the end, you know it can't be done, She's a vampire, and she can't stay with you and you know it too. But the relationship still remains, and you made her happy when all she knew in life was killing and pain. She'll treasure the times you did have...... wow I sound sappy.

And you misunderstand Hisui, I haven't played through her story yet, but I'm thinking she's always been longing for something with him, but her current position of only be a servant demands that she doesn't have feelings, despite the fact she's always been looking out the window at you every time you played as a child. That's as far as spoiling I'm going to do though.

I believe there are some sort of a CG collection/scene selection menu. Otherwise. it's a bunch of random Japanese phrases that, 'though meaningful,

THANK YOU! ALTMAN BE PRAISED (dead space reference X3)

Those are the answer choices. There are three routes ("一般教養", "月姫本編", "月姫夏祭り") and ten questions. Just think of the three routes as A, B, and C. To stay on a specific path, you'll need a specific answer for each of these questions. The specific answer is given by a number (indicating that's it's choice one, two, three, and so on) and it comes with the corresponding text in Japanese.

e.g. "4,イタリア" means "Pick the fourth choice, "イタリア" (Italy)"

... And I've never played Fate Stay Night. Do we have any uploads of that or are you doing all of them? I'd give you more rep but it won't let me rep you so soon again. XD
See Comes with the voice patch featuring the anime seiyuu. Have fun.

(AFAIK the hentai scenes are not voiced, for obvious reasons.)

Try to stay on the safe side and scan the game first with an antivirus program though. It looks clean to me, but it pays to be safe when downloading stuff from the Internet.

(Also, this is way too much trouble to upload to file sharing sites, and torrenting is probably more efficient in this case anyway.)

Re: Tsukihime

You might want to spoiler anything related to the story, Sponge. It's just a courtesy to do so, not so much a rule. But informing people of what happens in the story often lands you with someone pissed at you for ruining the surprise of learning on their own.

I'm already on Ciel's route, since I was sort of interested in her during my time on Arc's story, so I'll be seeing if her ending is really that great one way or another.

As for Arcu,
I've already said over 500 words of why I disliked her ending in the spoiler. Why she did what she did doesn't matter, the reason for it doesn't matter. After everything that happens in the course of her story, even the chance of something bad happening, just the chance, pales in comparison to what she puts you through. It wasn't bittersweet, it was saying that everything you went through together, both with her and because of her, it's all not going to matter in your future.

The future, which you should really think about, is what matters the most. She's gone. She left you again, and for the same reason she left you before. Shiki was willing to let his blood be sucked, if it meant they could be together. She said no, and decided to vanish, and let all of their experiences, their relationship, and their love become nothing more than a memory. Saying that something still remains is just sugercoating the fact there will be no more good memories of them together. Your life always moves on, until it finally ends. The endpoint. Death. When you stop existing. Arc's decision at that point was no different than the endpoints Shiki sees with his eyes. She 'cut' that line between them. And at that point, Arcueid stopped existing in his life.

After creating such strong bonds with someone, 'cutting' that 'line' is no different than killing something. And that's what Arcueid did out of her own judgment. And after all that, you were left with nothing but memories. None of it mattered anymore. All of the suffering, the pain, the emotional trauma, and you're left standing in a world that makes all of that seem like a dream.

Feeling like I was standing in that situation, I felt betrayed. How the hell could anyone go through that, and live life as if it never happened? To accept it, and go back to the life that I had abandoned for her? Leaving my sister and two childhood friends alone, forsaking them for Arcueid, how could I go back, and smile, asking them to forgive me for ignoring them, and not spending time with them? Actively avoiding them, to help Arcueid? I'd be ignorant to say that I could do that. All the people that died, how much I suffered, and every risk I took for her sake, all of it became just a dream when she vanished.

All that would be left is to dream, just as she said she'd do. Become an unmoving body, that dreams of happier days. Unable to make any more happy memories, that's all I could do. And thinking of that, gives me a very empty feeling in the pit of my stomach. Despite what could or couldn't happen, Shiki shouldn't even be alive after brushing with death so many times. For love, that risk is something Shiki, and I would take. Just running away is something Shiki could have done a long time ago, and something he refused to do over, and over again. For Arcueid to do it at the very end, when they had the chance to make more fond memories together, no matter how small it was, is complete betrayal in my eyes. That's why I hate her for it.

Losing the one thing I tried so hard to keep, she turns her back to me on the final day, and says 'goodbye' before vanishing forever. It wasn't bittersweet at all. The only taste I had in my mouth was bitterness, and the feeling of loss. Going to sleep for years beyond my life, it's just as if she died anyway.

And I don't misunderstand Hisui. I never said she was a bad person. She is just creepy. That's all.

Re: Tsukihime

Ok, final thoughts for Kagetsu Toyha

The ending was real touching (despite all the loli shit and trying to look at it at an emotional point, a pure innocent spirit that had so longed for love and companionship she didn't realize she was making up the dreams herself and was only realized till Shiki finally pointed it out to her and she finally confessed her feelings, and finally freed from her loneliness that up until now had plagued her for who knows how long.)

One question though, why the hell is there not as many erotic scenes with... woman?! It's like the loli addition, kinda creepy.

That's the point though! He loves her so much he'd be doing anything for her, but the fact she knows he'd become a bloodsucking demon, the whole entire thing they were trying to avoid in the first place would overcome him if she did that. They both wanted eachother desperately, but for one to be happy would only cause the other pain. She didn't want to betray you, it's just how things turned out, she turned after you killed Roa. But the life it gave her also gave her the curse of bloodlust. I don't see it at a horrid thing, as much as I was saddened how it turned out. In my mind, she died in my arms to Roa.... but she was able to say that she loved me and wanted me to know that despite the short time, it had changed her entire life. To touch somebody so deeply is a blessing itself, knowing you helped a tormented soul finally see light. And because you love her, you'll continue to live on and respect her wish.
I suppose the reason I think like this is because with my ex, she had always been abused and beaten as a child, so when I first dated her and stayed with her for two years, despite the fact it didn't work out in the end, she told me I showed her life can be bright at it's darkest times. I want her to find somebody to make her happier then I could, because I still love her. To me, I didn't waste two years of my life. I spent two years helping a hurt soul. I've had so many people ask me "Aren't you pissed at her? After all this time she took from your life." No. I'm not mad. I'm glad I was able to help her in her time of need.

Oh and Hisui, I know her cold stares are kinda creepy, but I always believed it to be like armor that she wears to protect her emotions. Possibly scared to show them.

Re: Tsukihime

@Sponge:
If it makes you feel any better Len's at least a hundred years old. I really loved the story of Len. Remember in the alley, when she cried when he patted her head? Her master never gave her warmth or a name until he died, and when he died since she now knew of it she couldn't simply just exist. Arc couldn't give her mana, so she was slowly dying.

Topic continued, major spoiler so please don't read unless you've beaten Kagetsu Tohya...
As Shiki was the only other person to show her Warmth, she accepted him as her master. Her 'lust' for him wasn't exactly just lust, but her pretty much dying of starvation in need of magic to continue her existence. When he jumped in the road and grabbed her, the truck didn't hit Shiki but he smashed his dome on the sidewalk. I think Kagetsu Tohya spans like three actual days. When he saved her, the already dying familiar desperately tried to keep him alive by giving him this dream. Kinda just trying to return the favor. During the dream however, Shiki kept on trying to reach out to her, so she developed a bond with him. When his glasses fall off and you see that amorphous crazy mass, that's HER death approaching slowly. She likely would have stopped at some point if it weren't for him putting his hand on her head like her old master, and telling her not to worry. In the end, Shiki gained a familiar. I thought it was remarkably sweet and her story was really jacked. Len's one of my faves. On a few notes, she was the "dream familiar" sent by Arc to thank Shiki in Tsukihime. Also, I don't understand her past quite yet or the existence of "White Len." Though I'm pretty sure White Len is the girl, and Len is the cat. When a familiar is made, it's usually made from an animal and a person it seems.

Now that you've cleared it, go read "Red Demon God" and love it. :D
As well as "Dawn." (sad one)

Also! -finger raises- I'd like to remind the readers that though Kagetsu Tohya centers around a girl who is suspiciously loli looking, on activation of Kagetsu Tohya you have the option to simply turn this off.

Re: Tsukihime

Yea, I know how you feel. First time I had this it took a bit of encouragement to give it a real shot. That hospital scene felt so, so slow to me. Then after I came back with a fresh mind, even the opening hospital scene was pretty cool. Everything about Tsukihime's just wintastic. After you get finished with Tsukihime, there's Kagetsu Tohya up here. A few other things too.
and you're not counting fate/extra, battle moon wars and other bits, right?

Also check out . Fate fans, at 2:34 that's the grail. xD
that's not the grail, but i understand why you said that...

for the looks of it, that should be white ren/len, created by Aozaki with the renmants of Tatari.

Edit: I'll have to throw up Fate/Stay Night here when my laptop gets battery back up.
Man, please do that, by HD crashed halfway thorugh UBW and I still couldn't find a place to download the game.

Yea, I certainly am not counting Fate/Extra since it really isn't canon. Nor in English to my knowledge. And Battle Moon Wars does follow a story depicted following the end of Heaven's Feel route of Fate/Stay, but I always have a hard time accepting things like that as possible parts of the Nasuverse when Kinoku Nasu has absolutely nothing to do with the company that made BMW (Werk). Not that I think BMW is bad, I simply do not count it.

that's not the grail, but i understand why you said that...

I assure you my good chum.
If you note too, during that little intro there's a moment which shows Arcuied within the blade works even. I know nothing of White Len, but I'm quite certain that Len's 'White Len' side is not an external being, and she was most definitely created by a different Magus long, long ago. Unless you somehow have a source on this, which if you do and I am totally wrong I would love to read up on. :D

Man, please do that, by HD crashed halfway thorugh UBW and I still couldn't find a place to download the game.
Alrighty, I'll be sure to! This laptop's lacking a power cord since the computer whizzes that built it decided to put the heating vent right on the part the damn cord plugs into, so I have to go hunt down another cord. So don't hold your breath, but I will ONE DAY make good on that.

Re: Tsukihime

Manga Fox has all of the Tsukihime manga. Well, thus far except the last three chapters or so.

The manga's pretty sweet too. THE ANIME SUCKS. It takes all of the logic that is Tsukihime's world and butchers it. Do yourself a favor and never watch it. Or at least experience true Tsukihime first fully xD
Whoa. Thanks a lot, Nanie . I finally can read the continuation since in Animea it stops on chapter 59 last time i saw it.

Oh right, I liked that game. I threw basically all my points into making Shiki Tohno as hax as can be. It's a silly but fun game staged (timeline) after Fate/Stay Night: Heaven's Feel route. Definitely worth a try guys. Not made by Type-Moon, but still a good game. Like Crucis: Fatal/Fake (which I definitely have to upload for you guys, it's fucking amazing) made by the company Light's.

Hey, I know this is asking alot, but if you happen to have Fate/Zero and Fate/Hallow Atraxia?

(Yes, I'm loving this novel! The story is great, and give's tons of alternate stories. Genius really, putting 3 stories in one.)

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!

I don't got a upload of the game, but I do know they're working on a for Fate Hallow/Ataraxia, they're only almost half way done at the moment though.

Fate/Zero is a series light novels though, not a vn, though there is a translation of it in progress that you can read, found , it's currently up to half-way through the 4th volume but they're planning on finishing it up by March.

Re: Tsukihime

Surprisingly enough, Fate/Hollow already exists here on these forums.

Fate/Zero sadly, is not a Visual Novel at the moment. Well, at least one I know how to get. However, it is . The badasses at The Beast's Lair have compiled them into printable or readable .pdf books in english.

Some other things by Kinoku Nasu... Hmm.
Well, we have " ." The translation is very loose because the person doing it is kinda poor at English, but at least you can understand the story.

Staged in the same universe as Angel Notes (which seems to follow the timeline of Tsukihime, but Nasu will not comment) we have " ," an old project of his. It's cheese tastic and a short manga, but I liked it.

, which all I can seem to locate is this intro with which to make me want more from. xD

... And that's all off the top of my head folks. Hopefully that did you well.

Edit: And Kara no Kyoukai. Which was pretty much the precursor to Tsukihime. There's a crapton of similarities in it, and funny enough rather than it being considered an alternate universe, it is considered the same universe and world that Fate, Tsukihime, and all the other events take place in.

This clip is of I believe the third movie, a fight scene between two people who bear Mystic Eyes. Ryougi Shiki bearing the True Eyes of Death Perception (They are slightly different than Tohno Shiki's version. Note that Tohno's eyes are brown, but when he uses his Mystic Eyes they turn blue. Ryougi has a slight rainbow effect in that it is multicolored. Classified under the scale of how powerful the colors are, rainbow pretty much borders godhood. So yes, there is a more hax character than Tohno Shiki. According to Kinoku Nasu, she is the strongest power right now. The order of power goes: 1st, Ryougi Shiki. 2nd, Arcueid Brunestud (I believe he meant at full power). 3rd, the Dead Apostles.) and Asagami Fujino bearing the Mystic Eyes of Distortion. I'll try to find these movies online somewhere and update you all when I can.

I saw all the movies a bit ago on Youtube but they're down now. The first movie will confuse you. Second backtracks and explains a lot. Fifth movie will have you going "What the hell is going on!?" until fairly late into it. But, it's all very much worth it. The Kara no Kyoukai series has now been licensed to have a Manga produced of it, and is being translated by fan translation teams.

Ewwww... it's hotfile and filesonic..but.. it's a worthy cause. I just hate downloading tons of crap just to have it not work in the end. Thanks though! I'll report if they work or not for reals.

Edit: Hotfile links are down.

Yea, to my dismay I suffered the downloading of it too. It is totally worth it, but I haven't been able to run it yet. Have to transfer it off my dad's computer and onto this one, and this one can't support any game that is based off using Moonspeak yet. Need a system disk with it's I386 folder so I can toggle support for that shit on.

Ah, no I mean that I have a ton of random disks with random windows stuff on them, but all of them lack an I386 folder. I have the standard one on here, but I need a full one to update my language settings.

Re: Tsukihime

Oh yeah, random bits and stuff like that won't help. You'll need to install a new interface from scratch to get those from what I understand. When you like install windows vista, or windows whatever.

If you have a previous version of windows, maybe you could install it and then upgrade again. Though like you said you only have bits and pieces so you wouldn't be able to make the full upgrade.....

From what I understand, it's an Intel file. But as the site I've listed here says, you need to install Windows again.

Edit: Also found a link to the full download of Battle Moon Wars, or at least that's what the post says. It's megaupload though! There are multiple links to download, each 85 mb ... except the last one. But why in such small bits I don't know, maybe it was the max he could upload with his current account at the time.
I checked and all the links seem to be working fine.

Re: Tsukihime

Hah, beat me to it! I just unearched an old CD with Battle Moon Wars on it!

And what I mean is, if you try to add support for east asian languages through Regional Settings and Options you need a system disk. It digs up some files from the i386 folder and makes it work. Funny enough, if you have already upgraded your system to be able to handle that, if you copy your new i386 folder to like a thumb drive, you can use the thumb drive in the future for updating.

It's just supposedly highly illegal. I think only to upload it to the internet though.

Edit:

Kara no Kyoukai

@Sponge: Also, if anyone gets stuck in Battle Moon Wars and simply cannot defeat their encounter, I can hack saves and grant a couple thousand EP to help your efforts. Being that I want people to earn their way through Battle Moon Wars anyway, I will only do this once per person, per playthrough. I will determine how much to give depending on just how bad of a landslide the encounter is.
