Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

I am new for this game so i want to ask some questions:

- What is the most efficient way to lvling and CC unit ?
- How to get silver and higher rarity unit ?
- how to defeat the Heavy Armored enemy ? They almost immune to all the attack i throw at him ?
- About the skill, how to lv up skill ?
i hate to say this but i think u go wiki check ur self more better i think i give the website already. pls go check urself.
best map cost 12 or 24
( 3 star and above COST $$$ ) if not use ur Crystal which is not good idea ( 1 crystal for 1 map 3 star once only ) monthly login.

About the CCing and Lvling, does it mean i should farm Rural map for Iron and Bronze units, and either feed the bronze to 21 or sell those unit for money and farm silver fairy and feed the lv 21 bronze unit and 3 silver fairies for the one i want to CC ?
Feeding depends on your current economic situation. If you're poor, you should sell the iron units for 300 gold, and feed the lvl 3 bronze Hectors to your units with fairies of the same rarity.

3 LVL3 Hectors + 1 silver fairy is generally what I feed to my silver units. However, I feed each LVL3 Hector 5 iron units to level them up to LVL9 so I can do 3 LVL9 Hectors + 1 gold fairy for my gold units, since gold fairies are harder to come by. Platinum and black fairies are too rare, so you'll have to stick with 3 LVL3 Hectors and silver or lower fairies, and bear with it unless you get a gold male unit that you don't want to use (level these guys up to lvl 10~20 before feeding them with 3 platinum/black fairies to your platinum/black units).

If you're rich, you can directly feed your iron units to the unit you want until lvl 20~30 before switching them to a diet of bronze Hectors and fairies.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

Outside of few final campaign maps you should do perfectly fine without CCing anything, and I think balanced growth of your team is better than pushing extreme (at that point) amounts of resources to CC one char.

When you are near the end of campaign, you are strong enough to do some event maps. There is always an ongoing event and as a beginner myself I rather spend stamina doing the event maps to get silver and gold/platinum units rather than on farming fairies.

Bearing that in mind I try to get my chars to lvl 40 wihout using any fairies. Until around level 20 I feed them iron then till around level 30 unleveled bronze. To level 40 I go with 4x level 11 bronze.

Reaching level 40 is quite bearable but from that point not using fairies suck. Getting to level 46 is either 27 lvl11 bronzes plus seven fairies (3+1 synthesis) or 10 lvl11 bronzes and 10 fairies (2+2 synthesis). I usually go with the latter route, as even though it is less exp per fae, getting 27 level 11 hectors is no fun.

At level 46 (+some exp) you can eat one level 11 silver male plus three fairies to get to 50. Since you have completed campaign you should have few spare bandits for that usually.

Note that numbers in final two paragraphs are rounded down estimates. Level 40 -> 50 takes 4000 exp (for silver unit). If you start at exactly level 40, 2+2 strategy is 400 exp short, while 3+1 one is 160 exp short.

Another question is how to power up your main character ? Is the higher your rank, the more powerful the prince is ?

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

For anyone interested, this is how I farm Total War Extreme:

It doesn't hold any educational value, but this is probably the only way I could do this map with my current team; everyone else I've seen who did it had 2 battle masters, or really powerful units. If I didn't have Hina-chan, I probably wouldn't have been able to 3-star this map, or farm it as smoothly as this.

Currently have 2 copies of Loren, so I'm fairly happy with this event now.

Another question is how to power up your main character ? Is the higher your rank, the more powerful the prince is ?
Yes, player rank is correlated to the stats of the Prince (up to level 99-100). The most important prince level is 64, since that lets you use one of the most useful titles.

But congratulations anyways.

It's good to make up your own strategy to suit your units especially when it comes to map that are technically too hard for you. That feeling of accomplishment that I miss now that I over-leveled ._.

Re: Aegis Thousand Year War - DMM Online Game

In campaign each map drops a random number of iron soldiers and up to one bronze one. There is no need to repeat a map until you get one. However, each map drops a silver unit as well. I am unsure what the criteria to obtain one are - usually you get it on your first three-star clear, but sometime it just drops during non-three-star clear and sometimes it does not drop on three-star clear. However it is definitely worth it to repeat the map until you get it's silver unit (You can get it only once from each map. You can tell if you already got it by looking at 'rewards' section on mission selection screen).

First three star clear also avards you a holy crystal and it is worth it to get it from each map.

Daily mission maps, quest maps and event maps randomly drop any of it's rewards. Whether you want to farm for any of those items is up to you, but again there is no particular need to get everything at least once from every map.

Clarification:
Regular maps that you spend only charisma on has a completion reward. You need to get all unit types (say soldier, archer, bronze soldier) to drop before receiving the completion reward (which is a silver unit)

This will be your primary way to receive silver rarity unit as a free player. Hence you need to repeatedly grind a map until you get the completion reward.

Congrats :)

I actually have to use all 15 of my units to barely 3-star it after 3 failed tries (my Rean kept dying). The anguish when Berenice has to kill the last boss with only the help of 1 mage for three whole minutes...

Earlier, I posted an image of the first time I got 3-stars, and I had Lean dueling the horrible thing for almost 16 minutes. It was awful. Another weird thing I hate about this map is that a goblin got past Lilia (who was where Dahlia stood), and Spica wouldn't shoot at it. It's like there's a bug that caused her to prioritise the enemies caught by Berenice over the ones walking toward the right exit.

After watching my video, I realised that my Prince wasn't doing anything. Originally, I put him in that spot to catch a goblin or two, but it seems the way I placed Spica, Hina, and Mehlis and activated their skills was enough to kill everything. So, I tried placing my Prince to the left of Hina, which introduced an interesting situation where he could catch the black goblin warlord (Taian calls it a gladiator), and Mehlis could reach it with her skill. The combined strength of the Prince, Hina, and Mehlis was enough to kill the thing about a minute quicker than in my video. Though, I wasn't paying enough attention to see if Iris could heal the Prince from that location, or if I was going overboard with Echidna, Dolka, and Sedis, and all I needed was Dolka and Echidna for Lean.

EDIT: Iris can reach the Prince, this is good to know if they use this map again in the future.

Out of curiosity, how did you deploy your units on Total War Extreme? Did you deploy them in a similar fashion to You?

I saw You's first video, which was also referenced by Taian (待庵) on his blog (this is where the thought that I might have needed 2 battle masters came from). Though, it's been 3-4 days since Taian made his last post, so I'm curious to see what kind of strategy he will come up with for low-level players.

The second video by You was very impressive, despite being "ギリギリ".

Quite differently actually. I had all my melee units in the 4 middle slots.
-Had Misha and the Prince on the left side aided by 2 healers, then Phyllis on the lower right.
-Put Soma-chan at the top rightmost slot to deal with the archers/mages, then retreated her and Phyllis to add Lean and Dina on the right side. -Retreated Misha for Berenice.
-That gave me 4 tanks for each of the 4 goblins.
-Then I sent out the 2 mages to deal with the rush, retreated 1 for a rogue to take out whatever leaked, and retreat her too.
-Added a third healer at the top right until mages came, then replaced her with Carry to deal with them.
-One goblin leaked so I had to use Bashira on it...
-Final and fourth healer was deployed where the third was.

Thinking back on it, I probably could have used the ninja Hien instead of Bashira, so that the last kill would be over with a tad faster.

I am confused with unit targeting rules as well. Enemy ranged units target the most recently spawned unit, which is quite useful with dealing for instance with black goblin archers on Total War. For player units I am at a loss.

Even on the second video linked here we see Daniela obediently shooting at the units prince is leaking. When I try to do it my Daniela shoots at the warlord that is being tanked (albeit also when defending right entrance). Is it that player units choose targets from left to right?

Finally 3 stared the last map earlier, just got the silver archer for food for Spica, awesome. I'm not sure if I'm going to put any crystals into this event now though, doesn't look like I'll get much out of them atm. (264 atm, 19 crystals) It's hard to tell how good the new unit will be.

Honestly targetting seems pretty messed up. I think it's supposed to always target the enemy closest to the exit, but it often fails on oddly shaped maps. I failed 3 star so many times on the final event map because my ranged fighters wouldn't target the escaping goblins. Finally I put Monica out of range of everything but the right exit (All the way bottom right) so she could only target units that escaped my melee, got me my 3 star.

I'm at 284 scrolls, so I'm going to have to skip farming magic crystals today if I want to reach a flat 300 before I stop (would suck if they remove Sedis in the next update). Got 3 copies of Loren so far, which seems fairly good compared to the one person who only got 4 after grinding up to 500 scrolls.

One thing a lot of people noticed was that they changed the description of Ren's class ability—which sounds like it shortens everyone's skill CT (Cooldown Time) as opposed to the skill WT (Warmup Time)—from shortening it a little bit to just shortening it. If this is the case, then she doesn't sound like she's the kind of unit you want to deploy early in a battle, and more like a mid-late battle unit.

If she's the same as Uzume, then at 300 scrolls, she would cost 20 to deploy, which is the same as a platinum princess. And if her affection bonus and base stats are the same, she'll hit over 600 damage at 50CC70, which means she's about the same as a Unicorn Knight Mischa, except with higher HP, but lower defence, and the ability to block 2 units. No one has recorded Uzume's attack speed yet.

Considering that Lilia's skill doubles her defence unlike Sherry's skill that multiplies hers by 1.5, Jelius' strengthen defence IV skill that multiplies his defence by 1.5/1.6/1.8/.. as opposed to 1.4/1.5/1.6/.. like all of the of the units with strengthen attack IV, and black Iris's skill that multiplies nearby allies' defence by 1.5~2.0 for 60 seconds, I think Ren's skill will be stronger than Uzume's, which is 1.1~1.2x attack for 10~15 seconds. Uzume seems like she would work well with assassins, bandits and Dahlia with desperation, and archers with x-shot, and her class ability lets you deploy and retreat cost 4 units for free. There's not very many units with high base defence, so Ren's skill would have to be more like black Iris' to be relevant.

In any case, Ren's usefulness pretty much lies in her class-ability, and whether it lowers the CT a low amount like 5-10%, or something much stronger like 10-25%, which isn't going to change no matter how many scrolls you feed her, so I personally see no reason to grind up to 700.

EDIT:
Just summoned Calliope from my daily free base summon. Yay, now I can cc Belinda, Sedis, and Shiho (though, I have to cc Sedis first to get Valery #3 from Undead Monsters).

EDIT 2:
Just tried Undead Monsters to see if I could survive the early parts up to the liches, and I got 1-star on my first try. Oddly enough, the final rush was a piece of cake thanks to Karma. However, an early gargoyle snuck by Daniella, who just couldn't kill it in time. Otherwise, it's possible for me to 3-star this mission.

I just got to 500 and have stopped don't really want to go any further but whoever only got 3 copies of Loren has horrible luck I've gotten about 8-10 of them over the course of my runs I've already used a few so my counts not dead on but definitely 8+.

Overall this event wasn't too bad but the last map really should have had a 5x scroll drop or something as it just ended up a bit grindy lol I mean even the event with karma had 5x and 10x if I remember right.

My high cost melee line-up has defense starting from 350+. Ren's skill, even at 20% is going to be fairly major, though there won't ever be a map where I actually need it. (Give me more difficulty level! I want hell mode already orz )
Hence it really depends on whether you are range heavy like everyone sane or melee heavy.

Technically, being balanced in melee and range is best ... but you usually end up leaning toward ranged due to ease.

Melee in aegis is for the more hardcore players. *troll black oni coming through* "Moe moe interceptor Karma to the rescue~!"

Em yeah, I am guilty of leaning toward insanity as well. Since my melee line-up is definitely stronger than my range. (Though I am mostly balanced)
