Re: DDO
If it's anything like table top D&D, you'll need a high dexterity as a pre-req.

NEVER, EVER use ANY of the predefined paths. I made one and had to completely restart >_<. Seriously, better off asking our resident D&D grease monkeys how to make a decent build >.>.So yeah. This character creation seems a bit more than I'm used to >.<
It's probably just because I haven't played anything truly D&D for a while though, so meh. I'll probably figure it out if I fuck with it.
I was thinking having a Halfling Mechanic Master Rogue and an Elven Arcane Archer. Anyone have any suggestions, like different race for one/both, should go with a predefined path or should I customize them, etc.
He speaks from experience and wisdom. the rogue builds especially confused the hell outta me when Keylo here told me what he had. Power Attack. What the hell kinda of self respecting rogue, whose path supposedly focuses on defensive fighting with a quarterstaff, has power attack? Apprently, all of them.NEVER, EVER use ANY of the predefined paths. I made one and had to completely restart >_<. Defensive fighting...? Rogues should focus on sneak attacks and being the party multitool. He speaks from experience and wisdom. the rogue builds especially confused the hell outta me when Keylo here told me what he had. Exactly.Defensive fighting...? Rogues should focus on sneak attacks and being the party multitool.
From what I saw in the enhancement list, I think all rangers and all elves can do it. Non-ranger elf just picks up the enhancement later on. I'm not sure though, archer ranger isn't really worth it unless you're making a hit and run character.I may be wrong since I haven't made a ranger yet, but arcane archers can only be elves or drow as far as I know. I could be wrong though, haven't really looked at it so maybe someone else can help there.
