EA Origin

Re: EA Origin

If I didn't know better, I'd call douchebag.

Re: EA Origin

Dragon Age: Origins - EA produced game?

That's my best guess.

Re: EA Origin

Re: EA Origin

Hahahaha, someone ACTUALLY uses Origin? Oh god, if it's as bad as /v/ says it is then I wouldn't touch that shit if my life depended on it.

Re: EA Origin

It's just a steam clone for EA titles guys. I mean seriously...

Download limitations

Origin guarantees download availability for at least one year after purchase. There is no limit to the number of times a game can be downloaded through the platform. When Origin retires a game, it can no longer be downloaded. As of June 2011, Origin has retired "around 10 games". According to EA's terms of service, an account may be canceled after 24 months of non-use.

I've yet to hear of Steam 'retiring' games, cancelling peoples accounts due to inactivity and possibly stopping people from downloading games after a certain amount of time has passed.

Re: EA Origin

Yeah, I'm not touching that. I would have said that on principle of wanting as little involvement with EA as possible anyway, but after reading that excerpt from Oni, all the more reason.

Re: EA Origin

Good call Oni-sama. This sounds even more dubious then most pyramid schemes.

Re: EA Origin

I think I downloaded it for free mass effect 2, haven't actually downloaded ME2 but redeemed it and yeah, don't really intend to touch it.

Re: EA Origin

Yeah, same. I basically do see it as a Steam clone and the only reason I did it was for the free ME2 (which won't run on any of my current computers. Or my new one. Joy.). I'd be mildly upset if I paid for ME2 and lost it, but as it was free *shrug* Haven't done anything else with it though.

At least you got a free game that you already didn't own. Some of us already had ME2 when they ran that promotion...

Re: EA Origin

I use mine when Amazon's downloader is being a douche and not connecting to the 'net. As long as amazon gives me the damn install code, I can get my digital copies of Sims and such >.>

Re: EA Origin

Why on Earth would anyone want to have anything to do with EA in the first place? They're as bad as Activision now.

Sims. Dragon Age. Spore.

My three reasons why EA still gets my money D:

Re: EA Origin

I'll forgive you for forgetting mass effect in there just this once. we all forget sometimes.

I honestly didn't like it.

I like Scifi... ME just didn't pull me in though. One of these days I'll give it another go, probably

Re: EA Origin

Still, as long as EA games continue to slowly go missing from steam...
