mmmmhh an easy +1 searching on google and linking the site OR just post a riassuntive status of the ongoing work with maybe an exchange opinions about characthers,ambientation,settings,etc. Mmmmhh

thought i'd expand my vocabulary a bit so i looked up riassuntive. are you using that word correctly? heck isn't that an italian word?

and i dont see what is wrong with starting a thread about something...

He (and I) assumed that you wanted more "info about this game" and thus linked you to their site. It's not his fault that what you said was not what you meant. You are, of course, allowed to discuss the work here, but you should probably avoid being unclear in what you want. As you can see from their site, there is only the one (preview) chapter up, and the finished game has not yet been completed.

You should probably have browsed the site for a few minutes before making a snappy comeback.

It's the way the first post was worded. All that was asked was easily searchable information, without an actual contribution first. It's just courtesy to give a little before asking for something in return. But while there should've been some information posted first before asking for anything further, it's also a little counter-productive to just post a link and call it done. Just misunderstandings all around, so stick with the discussion please.

Anyway, the Katawa Shoujo game is something I have been looking forward to for a looooooooong time.

According to their FAQ, however:
Q: When will the full game be out? How's the development progress going?
A: It'll be out when it's done. Don't ask for a progress status bar or such, since we don't really keep track of progress ourselves and occasionally it suddenly bounces back to lower levels in any case. Asking for an estimated release date isn't any different and we don't like being asked about general progress either.

So they don't have a set date for release, insofar as I can tell. I heard rumors about it being released near the end of this year (I think?), but I somehow doubt that.

Really looking forward to Katawa Shoujo. Hanako sounded like my favorite before playing, but in-game Rin ended up being my favorite.

Also, fuck Emi. Tiny little bastard.

well touchè,maybe i bad imposte the op and i am sorry for that,but my goal was to discuss about this game.anyway i have alreadychecked the forum (where most are useless posts) and a wiki (for how much can be usefull)who says the final product will be released in summerfall 2011

like i posted up i already searched for information but i thinked was better search information from a specialized forum too and maybe discuss with some users who have a certain knowledge in the camp

I'm very excited for this game. From what I've seen they were talking about a release date around 2012. Hopefully it gets released sooner but come on...that's not gonna happen.

The demo was pretty damn good though, and pretty fun. I loved going through all the different character paths.

Yeah, I have to honestly say that I don't have a particular favorite character because I like them all so much. :p

There needs to be more recognition for this game. From what a friend of mine told me, this is a game that's been in development since 2007. It's essentially an h-novel where you're sent to a school for the disabled, and interact with a variety of girls with disabilities. The draw from it isn't some much from the hentai aspect, but rather from its tasteful handling of its plot elements and the likable characters. And all of this was done indie style, so all of this was done with the intention of being distributed freely.

I'll take a look at it when I have the time to read through another visual novel again, but apparently it's very cutesy.

maybe its a good read, but on the other hand, how many h-novels exist? is there even a number for that?

As for my two cents.

The game's in English and will make you feel like a horrible horrible person.

Katawa Shoujo or Disability Girl follows the adventures of a young man who upon having a girl confess her love to him in the standard anime style, has a heart attack. Turns out he has a degenerative heart condition which qualifies him as 'disabled.' Now his initial reaction to this is as you might expect, he's mortified, he spends months in the hospital, has to do physical therapy and I believe take a barrage of drugs to keep his condition in check and to top it all off he has to change schools because his old school doesn't have the facilities to deal with his disability.

Cue transition to the new school, a lovely little place for the disabled children of the world. From here it plays like your standard dating game, you get to spend your day to day making dates and choosing to keep the or not. The part that makes you feel like a horrible person is this; all the girls suffer from some disability, deaf, mute, blind, burned, dismembered, they're all here, and they're all Fucking Adorable. This game paves the way to hell, but actually does a good job of making you care for the girls as characters rather than as sex objects. They each have unique ways of dealing with the world with their disability, and in the cases of some, have pretty horrible stories about how they became disabled (burned, lost their legs, arms, etc) yet at the same time they’re all insufferably adorable.

So yeah; lots and lots of buildup. I think the first chapter was to be the PC's first month at school, and there's Zero nudity in it. The whole thing climaxes with you & the girl of your choice going to the school festival. Now that's just the first chapter, I am lead to believe that the later bit has sex and nudity and all things that will make you feel horrible.


I myself and going to play this game. And feel horrible about doing it.

I don't usually like visual novels, which is why I can understand why some people might brush something like this off without a second glance. But I swear, if you read this for the sake of reading rather than porn, you'll be far more satisfied.

I've played tons of h-games, but not all that many dating sims (since they are boring as hell non-translated). This one is really good, I would probably enjoy any other game that is on this one's level that is translated.

The game is HUGE, I am eight hours into the game, and I am still going through my first girl's path, in chapter 4. There is eventually nudity. The lines are not voiced, but otherwise it is more than intriguing enough to keep you interested.

I was also surprised by how many people were downloading this, it was around 10k peers, which I usually only see happen with some of the absolute most hyped up games, such as a highly anticipated Illusion game.
