It's like we went from top-down Zelda games like Link to the Past, to Ocarina of Time and it's Z-targeting, which made it's way into the Souls series, and here's Fullflap making a top down Soulslike game with Z-targeting, even though you don't really need Z-targeting in a top down game, right? I feel like his staunch obsession with souls games actually resulted in a somewhat awkward game. Don't get me wrong, in a subculture that's flooded with half-finished games and alpha builds masquerading as full-fledged games, Fullflap is an absolute god. I'm impressed with the game, I'd just rather he used classic Zelda as a framework for combat instead of dark souls.
And, of course, there's the usual issue with how scenes are actually accessed. I was kinda hopeful after the first boss fight, as I assumed the rest of the game would be GOR. But, no, after I beat the second boss, I come to a hut and some anon dude fucks the MC...? That's weak, man.
