Non-con isn't the problem. Again, it's all fantasy. The problem lies in the fact that it's loli/shota content takes things a step further by contextualizing the H-events in a "unique" way that clearly burns what little legal pretense the game has for such content. F95 won't list the game at all, MEGA burned its copy of game over "child exploitation", and Pornhub scrubbed any footage of the game (searching for VH on their website brings up a message about the query being linked to " possible child abuse material". To put it bluntly, the game's a few shades more illegal than your garden-variety loli/shota.
Granted, all of loli/shota is in a gray area; it's all technically illegal, but it's tolerated within reason. The genre mainly survives by keeping itself away from the mainstream eye. If the devs want VP to be successful, they need to have a little more tact when it comes to the quests. It would really suck to have the game tank from legal issues.
I think that would be for the best. Maybe even he realizes that he took things a little too far.
