Violated Heroine is probably the most ambitious hentai RPG that was ever made by indie devs. Maybe too ambitious but still alive. If you have a strong stomach, try it.
It doesn't get as dark as LonaRPG but still has some strange and perverse moments.
I don't know, man. Lona might have the "stark reality" aesthetic, but I think it sands down the potential harsh edges enough to make it palatable, for as long as you don't take it too seriously. VH, as I've discovered, is on a whole new level of anything I've ever played.
The whole loli thing doesn't bother me that much, or the whole "in-universe age" thing either. Really, most of any dubious content in an H-game could be hand-waved away as "roleplay" or fantasy. But according to the VH's wikia, one can trigger H-events under certain conditions with characters that are very explicitly underage. Not like the "they have the loli/shota look", but the "there are established children in this world that you can have realistic interactions with" kind of deal. I knew something was weird when references to the game were made elsewhere, with removed footage and scant discussion to be found. I played a little of it anyway, thinking maybe things were over hyped. I stand corrected.
Coming from a guy who's played and beaten DepraviA, VH made me genuinely uncomfortable. It's a real shame, because good pregnancy mechanics are hard to come by, and I was loathe to delete it over parts of the game that I would probably never see. But it's clear from forum posts on the subject that I'm not alone in my sentiment. Not sure what the devs has planned for VP, but I would hope he would maybe reconsider some of his "riskier" content. Because I think VH was just a couple steps too far.
