Introduction Thread

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

DAMNIT! WHY DO PEOPLE HATE SPIDERS! IT'S IRRATIONAL.

God, fear something more aggressive

Like bees?

And I hate spiders because they're creepy little fuckers. And yes, that means I *still* hate your avatar, Hooker. I much like it better when it's Death and the Kitten.

Welcome back, Nanie, I suppose is in order. Nice to see a fellow Dragon Warrior/Quest fan. *laughs* And Gyromite...ah, memories. Not to mention awesome armor in the shot there.

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

Not actually spiders and they're only creepy because they move fast. Wait haven't we had this conversation already.

Yes I believe we have.

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

True they aren't spiders, not true that they move fast. At least, it's been extremely hyped. But yes, they're aggressive little cocksmiths, just like bees

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

one of the guys in my last unit kept one as a pet o_O

Actually, they do move fast. I saw one chase a person.

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

Are those the things that are supposedly like a foot long with the legs?

they're pretty big for an insectoid like creature.

I never saw one clearly, I think they're more common in Iraq.

*picture*

I'm not a very violent person, and I don't intentionally harm creatures if I don't have to, but if I ever see a camel 'spider', anyone in the vicinity will bear witness to a flying camel 'spider'.

Jebus. The thing looks like it belongs in Australia.

Pretty.

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

If it's not a spider, what is it? I mean, I'm not one for studying bugs, but I know 8 legs is an arachnid, which means it's a spider or a scorpion or probably a couple of other things too.

Jesus christ, why the hell would you post that thing? If one of them came crawling towards me I'd stamp down on the bastard until it was a pastey mess.

It is an arachnid, but it's neither a spider or a scorpion. The way I understand it is it's sort of like the prehistoric cousin of the spider and scorpion. They aren't really all that fast as Toxic pointed out, more like quick and agile compared to other arachnids which makes them seem faster.

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

Holy Hell! Glad I don't live in the desert. I think I'm going to have nightmares now...

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

My first instict would be to attempt to rotate that rifle and blast it. Obviously a bad idea that would not work, for a variety of reasons.

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

If I have to post that Rape Spider picture again I will, and I will do it until you all hate that picture so much that you'll like it. And yes, it's still highly relevant :3

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

Those legs remind me of a facehugger.

Re: New Age Introduction Thread

Why is that one so big? I don't think there's ever been one bigger than 4 inches or so in total legspan. There's a LOT of bullshit surrounding them.

not likely, they aren't even poisonous!

besides half the stuff you have to look out for here is tiny.
