Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yeah I don't believe I've seen merry melodies since grade school myself.
Little girl voice "Mary had a little lamb." Demon voice "and I ate it" was my favorite.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

So, can we activate any of the basic discipline abilities at will without having to spend 'traits'?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

That's my interpretation of it... Although I'd modify if this doesn't go along with what Shrike had planned.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

If I go into the clan I think I am....

I can call people to help me fight stuff!!!

WOO IT'S AS COOL AS KEYLO'S INVISIBILITY!

*Goes into the corner and cries*

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

You'll have to check the description. Some of the disciplines require you to spend blood to activate them (to keep them from getting abused), so you might have to limit your use of them, pending on how Shrike's running our blood pools.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I'm not going to moderate traits as heavily, but if it says you spend a trait, assume it tires you somehow in whichever group the trait comes from, and don't go overboard.

Oh, and one last note: don't ever mention twilight to someone who is proud of being a Kindred. The politicians like it because it's so far off, but that's about it ;)

EDIT: yeah, and I am going to be setting up the blood and willpower pools soon, though that needs another session at an actual computer. If it says it uses blood, only use it once, maybe twice for now, most of you aren't far from getting psychotically hungry ;)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Thank God I made a character that doesn't read that much

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

It was a joke!! X__x Great! Now Rosary is going to be painfully turned.... ><

Those vampires have no sense of humor!

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Just curious, how did Luna do that anyway? Obfuscate doesn't do that until intermediate, and I thought she was an (I'm probably going to misspell this) Assamite.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Mist has... Problems...

Also, a quick note for anyone with obfuscate (invisibility): you have to be completely unobserved to turn invisible, though it only takes a second to break the line of sight in order for it to work. All the way up at level 4, you can turn invisible with someone watching, but it strains you mentally. Just noticed that, figured I'd clear it up.

Why can I see, say, Malkav reading the last book, picking his head up and going "But I dont' know nuthin' 'bout birthin' no babies!"

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I'll just say I was looking away for a second then, that way we don't have to make alot of changes. Boy I'm lazy

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

That works perfectly, thanks! :)

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

So if I punched say the wall what would happen, it says I could probably kill even a hardy human but nothing about say a wall, door, or whatever.

Ah... gotcha. I'll keep that in mind from now on.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Potence 1 changes your fists from hitting like fists to hitting like a bat, essentially. It does enough damage to break bones instead of just bruising. Make sense?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

And Celerity 1?...

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Yes that makes more sense than the way they describe it. The poor wall.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Celerity 1 is one of the ones that needs a bit of a calibration for forum gaming, so let's see if I can fudge something for it now...

Okay, basically it allows you to move a bit faster when your reacting to stuff. Guy pulls a gun at you, usually you can dodge it, or try to disarm him if you're close enough. With this, you spend a blood point and instead of having to be defensive, you can move fast enough to draw a gun and shoot him back. Think of it as paying a blood to get a half action, in a way. Does that make sense to everyone?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Or in short, improved reflexes. Lovely.

(Comp was installing service pack 2, thus why I was gone for so long.)
