I thought there was a movie thread, therefore you are once again wrong, just in a different way.

Indeed... I already gave someone else shit for talking about movies in here when we have a thread dedicated to them, on the front page no less.

As to deadly animals... I was going to suggest the immortal jellyfish, but further research shows it can't put out that much. And it's only biologically immortal as it can still easily be killed by disease and predators.

Re: Off-Topic thread

Pound for pound, the deadliest creature?

Influenza virus - if you are in the camp that quantifies a virus as a living organism.

Yeah, I mean what about the bubonic plague, that was bacteria too...

However, considering that a single virus cell can't really do anything by itself (it has to multiply to do any damage) it's pretty useless pound for pound.

Also... you can't really make a cell bigger, whereas you could make bigger ants. They'd be made up of many more cells.

I think what Soujouner is referring to is that statistically influenza has killed more people through-out history than any other disease also influenza is not just a virus, like the common cold, there are over 200 known bacterium and virus strain that can cause it.

Re: Off-Topic thread

We eliminated the ant swarms since we're talking the singular here, wouldn't that also eliminate influenza or any other viruses for that matter.

Yep. Like I said, a virus can't do anything to you unless it multiplies. So its disqualified.

And yea, remember I did say I couldn't decide on a size restriction with my friends cuz I don't know how something could kill an amoeba the same size as itself

Well, we can't all be amazing typists, some of us have to go out and work off the computer.

In that case I vote for the karate(sp) better known as the two step the venom is so potent that a 200 pound man will go into cardiac arrest in 4 seconds after being bitten on the foot the snakes average size is about 14 in and it weighs about 8 ounces

Re: Off-Topic thread

Small tiny snake from India (I think) related to the much larger cobra.
