Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Hey Pervy, is over quest still able to counted amongst the living? Are we still doing this? I believe me or Blue were last to post. If not that's coll o would just like to know for sure one way or the other.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Patience, need to balance grumpy rebels with helpful npc natures.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Overquest is still going as far as I'm concerned. I'm just going to be doing my posts on the weekends (mostly) because weekdays have become chock full from sunup to sundown. Posting takes too long sometimes... unless me making smaller posts were to become preferable.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Yep, Tenta, yous up.
Luckily zilrax had a good perceptive check.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Kiyomi probably isn't going to object at this point right?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Okay. And not really @Blueslime. I'll try to get a post up today.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Ok.. so.. Tenta, want me to just assume Kyomi tagged along

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Yeah. I apologize for my delay.

Yeah. I apologize for my delay.

Its not the delay in itself, blueslime is a slowpoke too atm, its reliablity, meaning you say 'ok, I'ma post today' .. and then don't.. sooo are you gonna now?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Hey now, I'm up to date in most stuff.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

*chuckles* well, still this is a bit of a pickle. Tenta doesn't intend to be reliable, while I'm in the limbo of 'should I make this campaign doable for two people'

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Have NPC companions, will travel.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

We'll need a young priest and an old priest.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

I require six hirelings, each lashed to one another with rope and ten foot poles.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Hrmnnn... ok, screw it, Zilrax, whats your plan/your characters goals in this campaign, I already know Yans so I can plan accordingly.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

working on a post now. I take the plan is we are looking for Zil first, then trying to snuff the mayor before confronting the DICK?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Well Sekla would wanna fix this mess honestly. If you mean long term it's basically promoting good and such. Fix droughts, preferably nonviolently end conflicts, banish demons, that sort of thing. Freedom too and such though she has to fight herself more on that.

Course she'd also on some level want to force it and have lot's of kids but well she's trying to keep her dominating urges under wraps. Lord knows if she went evil she'd probably replace one tyranny with another form. Probably one that makes her feel less icky :p.

As for me, I dunno, that's kinda a weird question. My goal is to see what happens and do things in an rp?

Frankly, I'd like you to rework that post until it has half a cup of rp-effort in it. Until then I'll just keep going with Blueslime and Zilrax alone. To pick out one example of many, unconspiuous is not a word.

Also, a hint for the future: If you roll a skillcheck against a reasonably large group of npcs even a nice DM will be tempted to assume at least a few of them rolled high enough to beat anything under 20.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

That sorta makes stealth useless though is all without hyper specialization. I mean not being able to nat 20 a skill helps, but it's still kinda unfair to do that.

Generally I just roll once using the highest modifier in those in position to make an opposed roll. It's generally more fair since it means the sneaky assassins aren't impossible without invisibility. And even then arguably. It also means not rolling 20+ rolls and is more fair then just saying you fail through sheer weight of numbers.

By that logic a single punch knocks out 20 people.
