At the ship yards, the automated defenses stand down after the transmission, as do the half dozen or so Hatak there. Spread around are various ships in the process of being built, as well as a single, much larger class of vessel that was obviously new and likely just finished. It had spiral arms extending outward, and was almost circular in shape were it not for the arms extending out.



At P3X-474, Toryn was greeted by the massive Hive Ship, lurking nearby. "Understood, and be advised we intend to hit the enemy ships the moment they exit hyper-space."

Sivok's Draque marauder was already there, just above the Hive, in a similar ambush position, as well as five of the Ingrali ships.

Moments later, the Daina Eil'Mori also appeared, taking up position near the planet.



Siphon nodded, and quickly set the automated message, as well as rigged the 302 up. This done, he quickly moved to modify three of the devices he had been talking about. When he was finished with those, he grabbed the power cells for them and readied them. He would have to precision beam them onto the gate for sure, but that he could do in his sleep on a target that large.

Ready now, he took the ship to hyper-space after Daina was done.


Thor replied quickly. "Understood. I shall be ready for them."

Veda walked back to the bridge unhurriedly, knowing they would have some travel time before the next battle. Her head looked in every direction, reading panels she passed by, looking at the walls, floor, ceiling, examining power systems and mechanics through the walls...

Eventually she walked through the door to the bridge, still fully suited, and turned to Talok. "Are we there yet?"

*I get to play more catch? Yay, this will be fun! Still, they don't seem very good at catch.* Nebula speaks mentally, not quite understanding that its asteroids have been killing those on the other sides flying metal shells. Still, not one to pass up the opportunity for fun, it begins to apply pressure to the fabric of space around it and rips open a temporary rift before plunging through, heading for the site of its next game. Soon it comes out the other side and goes to work finding new asteroids to play with as it had to leave its other asteroids back at the previous system.

"Alright. There- what? WHAT? Oooh, damn your synapses. Alright. I'm having something big on my scanner. Stands smack between you and the connecting mechanism. No cable this time. . . as I didn't build it. But that also means you don't have to hold back. Just try not to hit the mechanism."

"I do believe you are insane. But so was the Prelate. Anything you need done, I can handle." Ixack broadcasts to Siphon, his hands reaching behind his head and interlocking "Though. If your plan fails. We'll have one hell of a fight on our hands." he says, his head tilting to the right as he looks about the bridge and everyone hard at work "If all else fails, I have an idea on how to take out a ship easily."

Let us pray it doesn't fail Ixack, but having a backup plan is always a good thing for just in cases.


The Kara then made the jump to hyper-space, heading for the space gate, the message already being transmitted.




Talok nodded to Veda. "Just dropping out now." Sure enough, if she looked out the main window in front of her, she could see the blue colored tunnel of hyper-space suddenly go purple, then revert back to a normal look of space a moment later. They had just taken up position at their own ambush point, when the first of the Ascendant Empire ships showed up at the planet. As soon as the first one was clear, the Hive ship opened fire immediately, taking the ship out before they could even raise their shields. This had been, from the looks of it, a Bentari ship, and now the rest of their fleet showed up. Taloks, The Hive, and The Five Ingrali ships all scored one more instant kill, for a total of 8 of the 72 they would have to face.

Now though, the battle would truly begin. The other ships had raised shields, and were now returning fire.



The Ingrali on the ship nodded to one another. If this creature there wasn't one of the man's creations, then it would simply have to cease to be. Arms became sharp blades once more, the Ingrali going to great lengths to make sure they could carve through almost anything. Unless the creature they were about to face was made of Nevaria or Naquadah, the materials the Stargates were made up of, these blades should be able to harm it. Their minds made, they moved to enter visual range of the creature.



Nebula would also find that being near a ship yard, there were plenty of raw asteroid materials to use for his game. It seemed that perhaps the Gou'ald had been mining these asteroids, and for good reason. The metallic content inside their 'cores' was insanely high. Several of them appeared to contain Naquadah.

"I'm going out. Cover me while I try my newest plan." Ixack broadcasts to Siphon, heading for the door out of the bridge " I'm going to show them something only the Khala's Bounty can do." he says, his hands clutched into what vaguely resembles fists as he walks, and, if he was not stopped, he would head for the hanger bay to get in his ship

As the Shadow Wind's defense weapons fired on the incoming ships...Four carriers, like the ones at the shipyard, dropped in-system. They appeared in a defensive formation just a short way off from the planet.

Their escorts, on the other hand, dropped in pretty much right on top of the enemy fleet. Six heavy cruisers, four destroyers, and twelve frigates simultaneously broad-sided the likely surprised ships.

Nebula temporarily stops collecting the asteroids for a short while when it feels how nutritious they are. Quickly it finds a chunk of mineral rich rock about a tenth of a kilometer long and pulls it in front of it's body. Opening the great cavernous rift that serves as it's mouth Nebula moves forward and consumes the rock whole.

Ixack's only reply would be, might want to wait til we drop out of hyper-space and the doors open before launching. We'll be dropping out in two minutes.


The enemy ships were indeed surprised by the new arrivals, and their forces made a costly blunder. They began splitting their fire instead of concentrating it. Already their lines were crumbling, and even as the battle raged on, seven more of their number fell easily, making it 15 of the 72 now downed.



Nebula would continue to find asteroids like that throughout the system, though he would soon begin to detect the enemy ships nearing. It seemed they were less than fifteen light years away now, and closing fast.

"Then I shall ready my ship for the combat that will ensue from the battle." Ixack replies to Siphon, walking down the corridor and entering the hanger bay, his left hand reaching out and touching his ship, a door appearing and Ixack walking through, the door then disappearing as Ixack sits down at a control console and begins to concentrate

"Dropping from hyperspace in three.. two.. one."

The Asari's calm voice narrates the sickening lurch from hyperspace to real space without so much as a wobble in tone. It was nothing compared to the shock of hitting a mass relay in her own ship, after all. With everything stable, she turns to Siphon.

"Where do you think I'll be most useful? Out there in the Normandy, or on this bridge? This is your party, after all."

He pauses for a moment as he opens the doors to the hangar bays. "The more targets we can confuse them with the better I think. Just.... don't get hit, ok? We have no idea just how powerful their weapons may or may not be."


Doors are open Ixack, your clear for launch.

*Yay, people are coming to play catch!* Nebula thinks out loud as it moves off to where it thinks they will arrive, trailing a small swarm of asteroids the whole way.

"You are in command! I'll do my best, don't worry. The Bentari are brutes, and I.. I'm Asari."

With a smirk, Daina is gone, combat suit boots padding softly against the decking. A few moments later, she enters the Florence, strapping herself into the specially-adjusted pilot's cradle. She withdraws the baton from her holster, and drops it into a cradle, then takes up a grip on a flight stick with her other hand.

As the engine activates, so does her aura, intermeshing with the ship's own bluesilver lines, and pulsing a gentle blue around the craft. Her aura pulses.. and the Florence is gone, speeding away into the void.

All that is seen from outside the hanger bay is a small gold ship dropping out, then taking off at break-neck speeds, darting towards the enemy ships and preparing for a certain maneuver "Are you keeping an eye on my ship, Siphon? I'm about to show you my finest piece of work." Ixack broadcasts to Siphon, his eyes closed and his ship disappearing, reappearing INSIDE the shields of a Bentari ship, between said ship and it's shields, his own ship firing missiles at the exposed hull as he begins to move towards the rear thrusters for a better target"Here's hoping they don't hit me. I can only pull that off every five minutes. Try to keep them distracted for the time being. I'm going to turn them into a 'Sitting duck' as you humans refer to it." he broadcasts, his ship stopping and firing a pair of missiles at the propulsion system of the ship, the missiles exploding on the hulll, hopefully taking out their engines "She's all yours." he broadcasts, his ship moving extremely close to the Bentari's, trying to avoid any fire coming from the ship's guns

Veda takes a seat at the weapons console of Talok's ship once again, powering up its systems and overlaying the targeting systems as before. With that done, she calmly starts selecting targets, aiming for any ships that seemed to be trying to rally first.

Nebula didn't have to wait long, as the entire Ascendant Empire fleet dropped out of hyper-space not ten miles from him, completely unaware at the moment that there was an ambush set up. That would change in a moment as the Hatak opened fire on them, blasting two ships into pieces before they could raise shields.



Ixacks shots came literally right after the six Bentari ships had emerged from hyper-space, and not a moment after Siphon had activated his gate shield. Ixack managed to cripple the engines of the ship he attacked, but not their fighter bays or weapons ports. The enraged Bentari tried to return fire with their weapons at him, but his smaller ship was too fast for the large warships.

This was when the bays on each ship suddenly spawned hundreds of smaller fighters, all swarming out to pursue Ixack's ship.

The larger ships meanwhile found themselves under fire from both the Kara and the Beliskner, their shields flaring up brightly under the powerful weaponry. For the moment they held, but they were clearly weakening. And thus the battle was joined, as the Bentari returned fire on first the Asgard vessel, then Siphon's.

"Come one, come on! Follow the little gold ship, fools!' Ixack thinks to himself as he begins to fly around inside the ship's shields, his eyes still closed as he darts about, firing missiles here and there to enrage the Bentari more "I can do this all day, morons!" Ixack broadcasts to the entire Bentari ship, his own ship still darting around

*Yay! It's time to play catch!* Nebula gleefully broadcasts into the minds of the entire Empire Fleet, before tossing on of the naquadah filled asteroids at them.
