The problem is that not every victim works with my mugen only the victims inside my mugen works with my rapers.

Does anyone mind giving me a quick tutorial in how to add characters to Handy's mugen specifically? I understand moving the character files into the proper folder and all, but I could not for the life of me figure out where the editable file was to actually get them to show up in game.

Since so many people want to put there chars inside my mugen. The only easy solution i can offer is that you upload the chars to a file hoster and as soon as i can i would convert them so they can be use in my mugen. However plz just be sure that it actually that char has everything in order if it dont works in the common mugen it wont work in mine also.

You must be registered to see the links

. As long as they use the standard compatibility sprites people have been using for half an eternity by now it should work with any victim.

Edit: Nevermind. I managed to get the file but apparently its beyond me as to how to apply the things. I guess I'll just deal with only the two characters available.

Sorry I misunderstood entirely. I thought you were talking about the characters not showing up in animations (which is what I fixed in those 2 characters...).
If you need to add a character you go into the data folder and open select.def in a text editor. It contains the full roster. You will just need to find an empty space and put the folder name for the character in there. Sorry I'm bad at explaining things \o/

It's quite alright. But now you understand the source of my trouble. I've looked into the select.def in a text editor but cannot seem to find the place where one would insert the new character. Perhaps I'm blind, even after scrolling through the whole document multiple times, I'm not seeing the usual place where one would insert new characters into mugen.

I can't seem to attach it to the post, but the select.def file I'm looking at is the one that comes with the version of mugen that Handy posted a little while ago. What perplexes me is that it doesn't even seem to contain a list of the characters that actually DO show up in the game.

Oh yeah, his file name was selectBIG.def or something if I recall correctly. Wish I could take a look but I don't have it anymore ^^;

Oh well...here's hoping he posts an updated version at some point with some of the other rapers included (minotaur, kuromaru, birdie, etc.) I doubt I'll be able to figure out how to add them on my own.

Ugh... I started just wanting to simply check out gettag's characters. Now I'm at 50+ characters and looking for a screenpack to hold them all... The mugen whirlpool is sucking me in again.

I checked out Handy's mugen. It's a pretty amazing collection, but the lack of rapers like Minotaur, and Kuromaru mean you miss out on a ton of awesome animations. Certain characters like Tifa, Schlussel, and Kai have unique animations that you can only see if you use Minotaur, and quite a few characters have special animations when for Kuromaru. I can see a TON of work went into putting this together. Thanks for sharing your hard work.

If you're dead set on having an "all girl" mugen setup then I suggest at least adding Kuromaru_Girl to the roster. There's a user in this thread by the name of Tigris that made her.

Finally Sanae's rape face made me laugh really hard... I have no idea why I found it so funny.

However, Handy did mention that he did something special with his mugen so I'm not 100% sure you can just drop a character in and it will work 100%

No, it will not.
His rapers use sprite groups in the victims file that won't exist on any victim character you may have. They're the plain old 3 doggy sprites but he insists using another sprite group for them instead of just raper-specific animations and re-using the old sprites every victim out there already has. So no, simply dropping (victim) characters in there will not work.

i have a question for you. Imagine you have two characters, two doggystales sprites animations, right? those characters are a female version of the juggernaut as tall as the original char and you have a tiny character like Shantae the half-genie. Because rapers share groups if you modify the position of any victim its gonna change how its gona look with every other raper. With a diference in high its so great that you can only make one look right. How do you address this bug? You said make individual animations for the victims. In the victims or in the rapers? if i do inside the rapers as every other rapers has done how do i do to tell the raper that it has to trigger that animation instead of the old one?. if the animation is inside the victims, how do i call the animation from the victim? Can you help me?.

That trigger it will always be true if that character happens to just exist in the fight. The rapper is still incapable of distinguish what character it has just hit. It will always execute the new animation without considering that he might have hit an other char who need the old animation instead.

put that in the custom state you put the victim in for the h-attack, that way it will immediately switch to the specified animation when the state sees the name match. It only checks the name of the character IN the state
