They look at these forums like we look at theirs. They seem to like the few (actual) creators we have like gettag/futacharmaker. It's just we also don't have much to "give" in return for as much as we take.
On top of that, not all of them hate us either. Infact we had Horaukuti come.

Painting it as " we're bending the knee fuck them" doesn't help bridge things. There's a slight bridge.I don't think going out of our way to spite/ruin that is a good idea.

just to clarify, its not all B&W for me either and i'm not specifically saying "fuck the japanese mugen community", my fuck you is towards anyone who looks at mugen like "I changed some pixels on this KoF character now this character is mine, nobody better try to DL her or make another character in the same position, that's stealing and I'll never let you have her but subscribe to my patreon so you can watch videos of her." Just in general theres not much to work with on a 16bit sprite especially when so many tops have the same positions among the whole +18 mugen community, how many times can you take the same legs in the air pose and change the color on them and try not to emulate or be similar to another?
Obviously if someone takes an edit you did and puts their name on it instead, they're a dick too and another "fuck you" to them as well. Someone did that to my Kuro Wolf helper edits and threw them up on Mugen Archive so now every time I got to see their whiny "stop taking all the time and give back" excuses for forcing virus-filled ads on you, I could just roll my eyes and think about how my edits are already on there, but I also made them and uploaded them for the entire mugen community, so I don't care so much when I see them included in other edits or characters, it just make smile that they got that widespread. It was either a spanish or brazilian editor who did it, but I'm not gonna shun the entire region and horde all my edits now.
And on the whole subject of give and take, that's a silly way of looking at it. If you think someone is owed for what they make, they probably have a donate button on a website somewhere and you can tip them. If you want something specific made, there are people you can commission to do it. If you want help with programming or editing, there are a lot of community members who help for free. That's the way the mugen community should be and it shouldn't be a big scoreboard of what part of the community contributes more.

Should versus actually is are two different beasts. Rmemeber that's why sun-aegis generally blocked western IPs.

As it stands a lot of our current bases come from them. With new ideas being sparingly done on our end. See it more like a project and a bunch of people are staring and not really contributing much to it and just want the end grade.

It's really a credit where credit is due. I'm definitely not gonna shame them for it personally, they're allowed that mentality. If they put forth the work then what they decide from there is for them.

something i say alot is

i dont make this char i only edit this author name is in the file whitout changes even when i want hide credits in sprites i put author name and nsfw edit by me but only that

but time ago i hear real author could get in trouble for dont put your own name in author name because they will think that author makes the edit if the char is downloaded from a unkown place

Sigh... I've just skimmed trough this new discussion that you guys have been having for a while now and all i can see is everyone getting mad at the japanese community as a whole just because of one person that being mugen-ero in this case (you guys might pretend this whole thing isn't about him in particular but his unwillingness to share his content sprang this whole thing).

Everyone is using the term "they" talking about the japs not sharing their content and i see it as a wrong thing to do... There is no "they" in this whole matter only mugen-ero. I mean most people by now have probably realised that they will never see any real release from him but aren't willing to give it a rest already so this whole talk about morality (lol) of all things is... a bit too much all things considered (people have seemingly forgotten that Horuakuti didn't really have to give us anything but he actually did)...

Besides i have never actually seen jap community acting like assholes to anyone whatever you are a foreigner or not as long as you follow their etiquette... Once again i'm saying that they as a community have certain unwritten rules that are expected to be followed and it's a cultural thing and not a matter of being hateful towards westerners or however you guys see it... And yes i'm absolutely saying it: Either follow their rules no matter how strange they might seem and fit in, or don't... There is no one trying to force any of you to become a part of their community or interact with them in any way... And no they don't have to show us westerners any respect as very few have done anything worthy of any such thing...

Note#1 : This is just my take on this whole mess of a debate, and i'm still not entirely sure whatever you people are trying to have a serious conversation or are just beating a dead horse here by restarting a topic that has already been discussed to death and back...

Bringing people back to the dead horse is my bad too, I should've kept the comment on the video makers to myself. With the realization that I'm likely spreading a false narrative, I think I'll see myself out before I make things worse.

Hey, don't sweat it, i wasn't really pointing my fingers at anyone in particular, and i'm fairly sure you weren't around for the previous several times this has happened... I mean at this point this discussion is a perpetual thing where someone uploads a new mugen-ero's video and then BAM we get people going on and on about how much of a horrible injustice it is for them to not get something they REALLY want. It's usually fine up until the point when people just start attaching moral rhetorics to it all trying to justify just why they deserve to get things from a person clearly unwilling to cooperate and all of that under the pretense of how making and sharing mugen content should be a level field for everyone when most people in fact just want "free lunch", lol...

As for the whole false narrative you mentioned, i'll just say i have seen none of that thus far at least not from a few notable and frequent visitors to this thread (including you and EG) who very much know what they are talking about and are truly sorry that we just can't seem to patch our differences with our eastern compatriots enough to cooperate on a somewhat bigger scale (although Gettag geting in touch with them is a good sign for now at least)...

And as always this is just my take on things so don't take it too seriously...

I just wanted to mention that misaki shokuhou has been released into crossing void already and i managed to get her. been too busy to play the game yet tho. Missed her summer event but at least I now have the actual character itself now. Dunno how one would go at it about to rip her sprites from crossing void and bring it into mugen? How can that be done? She has to be in mugen if just to pick fights with railgun who got in before her.

To my knowledge no, he has vanished from the interwebs and his website is also dead (although you can still access it using something like a wayback machine)... His early stages have been really crappy, but right before he vanished he made a few really good ones starting with seedbed of flesh and two or three other similarly themed stages that came afterwards which were even better...
