Re: Tentanari's Adventures (subject to change)

(A wins out)

Amuro wipes off her sweaty brow, takes a final sip of her water, then breaks off branches from some nearby dead trees and carries them over the rock outcropping she see to the east. She arranges the branches into a small bonfire before using her plasma cutter to set it ablaze. Lies down before curling into the fetal position by the fire to get warm, before slowly drifting off to sleep.

d100 enemy roll: 80, 2nd roll: 70, 3rd roll: 13 - Two enemies in total
d4 enemy type roll: Tentacle, d8 for species: 1= black
stealth roll (TN=12): Black 1:(12+2)=14 Successful, Black 2: (2+2)=4 Failure

As Amuro begins to fall asleep she is suddenly startled awake a loud hiss, it seems an ember from the fire has leaped out and landed on a black tentacle. There are two of them! "FUCK!" Amuro cries out in surprise as she scrambles to her feet and pulls her plasma cutter, "The bastards were trying to get the drop on me while I was sleeping!"

What does she do?

A. Try to get cover behind a rock before firing
B. Grab a burning stick and swing at the tentacles
C. SHOOT!
D. "OH FUCK, WHAT THE HELL DO I DO!?" (ad lib)

B She probably doesn't have the time to do A, and we shouldn't do either it or C to conserve ammo. Plus B just seems the most likely someone would do in a panic after being woken up like that.

C, ammo is there to be used. And who knows, they might even be concealing some more, in their... underneath the... inside... oh, sod it; I like shooting things, ok?

Choice B is the most logical choice given the circumstances.

Re: Tentanari's Adventures (subject to change)

Amuro attack roll: 14+0=14
Vs Black 1: 19+0=19 Miss
Black 2: 13+0=13 Hit
Damage: 1d6= 2+ d4 (4)fire damage= 6 damage*2 for weakness= 12
Black 2 fear check: 38 (d100 1-74 equals fail, 75-100 equals pass) fail
Black 2 loses his turn
Black 1 fear check: 85 (50/50 pass fail due to not being attacked) pass
Black 1 counter: 15+0=15 vs 16 Miss
Vs Black 2: 20+0=20 Critical Success
Vs Black 1: 1 Botch
Black 1 Counter: Botch
Vs Black 1: 16+0 = 16 vs 9 Hit
Damage: 1d6+1d4 fire damage*2= 1+2=3*2=6 damage

Amuro swings wildly with the burning stick and barely misses the first balck tentacle but nails the other one, it instantly catching fire and letting out a soul curdling screech of pain. "YEAH! BURN YOU LITTLE FUCKERS!" she cries jubiantly. The other tentacles is too injured and frightened to attack this turn. the other one however recovers and tries to counter attack, but Amuro manages to juke out of the way and decides to finish off its friend before it can help. She scores another hit and causes it to burst into flames, its screeching getting more shrilling until it collapses into a charred husk. She attacks the other tentacle again, but whiffs air; allowing it to make a horribly failed attempt to attack her back. However she scores a hit on the third swing, causing it to scream out as it catches ablaze.

18+0=18 Vs 18= Hit
Damage: 4+4*2=16 dead

Amuro strikes out again at the black tentacle, this time finishing it off as it lets out a horrible death throe as it writes in agony as it continues to burn alive before finally expiring. "AND STAY DEAD BITCHES!" she cries out in triumph as she furiously stomps the burnin corpses, she finds a cell of plasma energy in one of the corpses oddly enough; and in the other one she finds more dakka. "Weird." she mutters out at her findings. Bur she stocks her weapon up and slowly starts to go back to sleep. Eventually the sun rises up and it is 8:00 am. She stretches out as she sees her fire has died. She eventually makes her way to the settlement around 11. She can spot what seems like a medical station, a trader, and several smaller buildings.

A. head to the trader
B. Check out the medic.
C. Investigate/explore a small building.

A I would say head to the trader, as that's where you'd usually get the most information about the surrounding area, aside from a tavern or something of course.

Are we able to chain? If so I say B, A and then C

If not B and make sure we get some healing items

I vote B.

If we're going by the source material, once we fully upgrade the Plasma Cutter, we can set fire to whatever we want :p

I'll go with A, we have a mission that needs doing, and the trader is the best bet.
