Re: The Love Thread (Or Just Warms and Fuzzies)

I love the movie "I now pronounce you Chuck & Larry." I remember truly enjoying it the first time I saw it... for whatever reason I actually saw it in theaters. It's got a fantastic message. It manages to make fun of gay people without bashing them. It's awesome. If you're not a prejudiced gay-bashing asswank, you'll probably love it too. I recommend it.

I love that they can rip off The Strange Bedfellows and get away with it =D

Well, no, actually. I don't.

Saw that it was on TV last night and almost watched it, but I was really tired so went to bed instead...

Hmmm I wasn't aware a previous version existed. Regardless my previous statement stands - the more people that are openminded enough to watch and enjoy a movie like this, and even the more people that are tolerant enough to produce and market a movie like this, the better. The fact that it's not a new idea just makes me shrug - I've never heard of strange bedfellows so clearly the director/producer of chuck and larry succeeded in their job. You can't spread a good message too much.

Yeah, it's an Australian film. It's always hard to export media to the states, we have a lot that doesn't make it. And then someone comes along a few years later and rips it off and has a huge hit.

Like how a few years ago about 1/3 of the horror films were all rip offs of that one Spanish film thinggy.

Re: The Love Thread (Or Just Warms and Fuzzies)

Like how Hollywood has no original ideas lately and must therefore either remake and/or borrow heavily (and by that I mean, make a near exact copy of) from other movies?

Sorry, was that out loud again?

Anyway, ontopic...I love making people happy with my writing :D

i would like to point out there is no such thing as original anymore, only new ways of telling old stories.

Ontopic: I LOVE my writing, and i love seeing responses from people who love my writing xD

Re: The Love Thread (Or Just Warms and Fuzzies)

I just installed Linux on my computer... I'm loving it. Watching porn on my computer in a new OS for the first time was like finding a brand-new sexual position with my girlfriend -- very, very HOT. That's right... I'm getting off on my own nerddom.

EDIT: Or maybe it's more like dumping my girlfriend and finding a new, more innocent woman to corrupt...

Which distro? If it's ubuntu, I'm justified in hating you, because EVERYONE gets ubuntu first.

Waking up in the morning, grabbing that first cup of coffee, and sitting in a quiet house before anyone else has gotten up. With the plus side of not having to be anywhere..or go anywhere that day.

I love the original English voice-acting for Dragon Age. It's far superior to the German one.

@ Chibichibi: Tim Curry? He's just a sweet transvestite.

@ Hooker: Given that my technically-savvy friends recommended learning with Ubuntu, yes, it's Ubuntu. It's free and so far it's not too hard to use. So... you're going to hate me because it's so easy and free that it's also popular? Good idea, let's rage against popular things, like chocolate. I hate people who like chocolate (that makes about as much sense)... I just want you to know that if you were here right now, Hooker, I'd beat you up and take your lunch money.

His inclusion as the voice of anything makes it obvious that he's the villain, which kind of brings me down, especially if it's supposed to be a surprise. He does such a good job though, I can't hold it against him.

Could be worse.

Could be Christopher Lee.

Unless, y'know, they do it clever, like in a certain game
Like Kingdom Hearts II, where they set him up to look very much like a bad guy, all mysterious and puppetmastery, and then SURPRISE, he's actually a good guy. Clever use of a notorious voice actor :3

HOPE.

I FUCKING LOVE YOU.

>.>

I actually wasn't aware that It was Curry at first. Then later on in the game i was like "WAIT! Hold the phone. I know that voice. -horror- Arl Howe is a sweet transvestite! -cue laughter-"

@Inky: WIIIIN. That was epic win.

Psh. Just because your friends know better doesn't mean they're right.
