He shakes his head a moment before looking at Tina, "Roan said she provided you protection, is it demons or are there other things nearby that terrorize your farm?" The bull quickly tried to change the subject from the obviously unwanted memory. "As long as it's not a tribe of minotaurs, I might be able to help. And -not- by giving myself out." He jabbed his fork at Rosy before she could make the snide remake that he knew was coming.

Leon listened to both women and was about to speak up before Roan.....interrupted. He shook his head quietly as Tina and Roan began to fight, "I did not intend on trying to fight both at once, in fact the magi might make my first task easier." He leaned forward on the table, "If Rosy and I were to assault wherever they're coming from nearby the magi might just happen to find traces of witchcraft all over the ruins. Meaning that if they're led by someone even halfway compitent they would divert resources towards assaulting the witch coven in the area who appear to have suddenly started an offensive against them. If we're lucky our two problems might wipe themselves out for us, at the very least we could finish off whichever side won while it's still in tatters. Regardless the ranch would get a reprieve while the magi focused on the actual threat of witches and ignored a bunch of harmless looking cow girls, no offense Tina." Leon leaned back after explaining his xanatos gambit grinning, "I know how humans like the magi think, they don't think our kind can plan stuff like this, they think we're just dumb monsters. They'll gladly jump at a chance to attack the witches full force."

"As if they aren't doing that already," Rosy commented. "Look, Leon, whatever response they give still entails us attacking them on our own. If the Magi could even compare with the Sabbath, there would have been a battle long ago to settle the score. The Magi are perfectly happy with making small strikes, hit and runs against monsters, while the Sabbath and every other mamono group do the same, attacking with small time strikes, and stealing a few men at a time without any real fight. It's not in a mamono's interest, or Sabbath for that matter, to kill their food. So if the magi attack, they'll just be repelled, and lose valuable men at that, even a few women. It's a cold kind of warfare that both sides realize that extending themselves into enemy territory is against their desires. Granted, the Magi are desperate for a solution most likely, since Hell and it's inhabitants grow ever stronger by the second. And if we weaken them enough for an attack by the Sabbath, I assure you, they won't be in tatters by the time we arrive to finish them. In fact, they'll be even stronger after absorbing every Magi's energy."

Tina made no comment, staring at Rosy and trying to understand what she meant.

Leon rotated his shoulder rolling his eyes after having the air smacked out of him. "Hrm, I was hoping the magi would have a slightly better track record than that, though knowing they have the numbers to hold the magi back seems much more challenging than when I used to think that the woods were being corrupted by just a small coven of witches. Whatever the sabbath is doing though is starting to warp the area, I'm not really against monster girl expansion but they're doing something up there is harming other mamano. We don't really have the resources to attack the Sabbath directly or even manage a decent hit and run strategy." Leon rubbed his head thinking, "I miss the simple days of fighting black clad armies of evil. If I just knew how the layout of both sides were we could cause major damage on the opposite end facing the magi and then they would have to seesaw between fighting us and the magi. I don't really want to destroy the sabbath outright, that could threaten the balance of power and make a vaccum for the magi to fill in force. I just need to get rid of whatever is corrupting the land and the mamano."

The minotaur rubbed his head wishing at the moment he had an army of his own. "This is why I never got involved in court politics.....I don't suppose theres any chance that there are other mamano groups around that aren't on good terms with the sabbath either?"

"On top of capturing men, the Sabbath actually share their catches with wild mamono in exchange for their allegiance with the Demon Lord. Leon sighed and scratched his head, "Well thats not good news but at least their loyalty lies in the supply they get from the sabbath, as well as shaky loyalty in the sabbath itself. If I can do enough damage to make them look weak their allies might back off and witches might start defecting or cause infighting. Monster politics are a lot more like human polotics than people think, and both probably have the same amount of sex involved." Leon stood up and dragged his hammer up off the floor, "I'm going to take a walk around the edge of the forest before nightfall, make sure nothing followed me and Rosy and there aren't any magi nearby. Call it adventurer paranoia." He gave a smirk before heading out the door also hoping for some quiet time to think to himself about what to do he never planned on ending up tangling with a demonic army here of all places.

Rosy nodded, "Despite where you may have come from, Leon, this place is not like your home. It's not safe for a man of any form to wonder alone. It wouldn't be any surprise if you did not return before the night was over."

"I'm sure only one companion would be find enough to ward off most danger, lest Leon be mistaken for open game by any that see him," Rosy said, "Leon, before you go, and I'll leave this decision to you, you should take one of us with you.
