I've seen a few decent pyros recently, they are out there. I can usually tell because they're the ones who flare me from across the battlefield while I'm sniping; bonus points if they don't immediately came after for the kill.

For those of you who've spent enough time playing sniper, you know what trying to aim while on fire is like.

Flare can be a good weapon against snipers, actually, provided you can aim the damn thing. They can dodge it if they see it coming, unfortunately. Not that everyone does.

Most of the pyros I've seen weren't anything special, altough I think I can recall a few that seemed a step above the regular type. They usually kicked my ass when I came after them.

Only yesterday, I joined a 10 man team.

5 snipers, 3 spies, 1 pyro, and a medic yelling at them to play something useful.

You don't even have to play to see who is new, and who is not, all of them except the medic were new.

Free to play players are still free kills it seems.

I like to think I'm a good pyro when I play it. Puff and sting heavies without getting killed consistently and flaregun to set fire to everything out of flamer range. Two flaregun hits is lethal to snipers, scouts, spies and engineers not by their dispenser, assuming they're still on fire when the second shot hits.

Hey, I'm F2P and I daresay I'm not a free kill - altough that team was just asking for it. Granted, perhaps I'm a bit prone to charging in and dying when I play as a pyro, and my accuracy with flares isn't best. But I can be a dangerous opponent when necessary, if a bit overspecialized. Though perhaps I'm just not putting enough effort into playing anything besides pyro or sniper. Still manage to get decent scores in comparison to others.

I used to exclusively play Pyro and Sniper when I first started, though I've since moved onto the rest of the classes. I'd say my worst class is Demo and in my most recent matches I've been playing Medic as literally no one bothered to go him. A Heavy and myself pretty much won the matches on our own because everyone else was too busy fucking about.

I do have to say I am loving the amount of heavy/medic pairs around at the moment thanks to the tomislav and the near medic gear (even if it all sucks).

I've actually found myself going heavy a few times myself (which is possibly my least favourite class due to how long it takes you to get to the fight, especially on big maps with crap/no engies) and obliterating these tomislav wankers with the brass beast. (heavy as it should be)

When I was relearning my sniper chops, it provided plenty of oportunities to play "drop the medic behind the bear" and when playing other classes it gives me a solid line to launch attacks from and fall back behind when I need to heal/reload. Plus, when I go medic because my team has enough decent players, it's so much fun. I really enjoy playing medic when I havea team that supports me, but can't stand it if my team is useless.

Enjoying My Soldier with the black box and a new conch shell buff banner that returns HP to nearvy teammates according to the damage theyre dealign to others. I also have a degreaser for my pyro and recently aquired a detonator. Still testing the detonator.

Brass Beast is bad. It's how the heavy should be, but the minigun is infinitely better.

Eh, maybe but I can usually get spun up fast enough to win engagements that wouldn't otherwise be winnable. A faster moving speed while firing doesn't do enough to help when you've got 2 soldiers and 2 demomen concentrating fire on you.

I also use the Bazaar Bargain because I like the concept, even if it is a useless piece of trash.

Degreaser and axtinguisher. Anything close enough to you dies very, very fast. Hell, a heavy without a medic to support him will go down in about two swings if he's on fire. Those two were made for each other. Haven't tested the detonator, so I dunno if it's worth it. Not sure if I should sacrifice my flare gun for it, since I haven't seen many pyros use it. Flare gun seems to be the most popular secondary.

Heavy's a bit too slow for me, same for soldier and demoman. Altough I'm a bit interested in a melee-oriented demo. I suck as an engie, and I doubt I'd make a good spy. Medic... I don't like support roles. Now I pretty much play nothing but pyro.

First one, doable. Second... I might need practice. Third - uh, kay. Fourth - I daresay some planning is necessary as well. Altough maybe I just don't have the patience to simply whack things and keep an eye on them. Or I just don't know when to play an engie.

I like going Heavy when there's a decent Medic on my team. The only other time I go Heavy is when something has made me angry. I call it rageheavying. And most F2P'ers have made Spy really fun. I've literally decloaked in front of several people and they haven't done anything about it, I then proceeded to backstab them. Then there were two Snipers I kept pissing off, forced them to switch to the Razorback and have an Engie to come up to protect their sniper nest. Took out their Engie and sentry and proceeded to shoot them to death.

^ Proof once again spies can be utter douches (love ya Oni)

My major classes I do ok with (at least, I keep telling myself) are Medic, Heavy, Engie, Pyro, Soldier, and a little bit of DemoCreeper when really required. I'm not bad grabbing stuff as a Scout and sniping either, but don't trust me to backstab my way out of a paper bag.

When I go Spy I do it specifically to be a dick. Burr and myself have spent countless matches pissing Engies off. There was another match before on Harvest where I kept harrassing a Sniper and eventually he quit.

Remember that time we both went C&D spy and that fail engie just sat there removing sappers, whining about how the spies were OP?

Spy has got to be the biggest douche class, short of the new Demoknight class setup.

Failspying gets on my nerves more. When ya got 2 Spies on your team, and not a single one of them has sapped a teleporter carrying enemies practicly strait to your front door, it's just embarressing.

I personaly don't like playing heavy that much, it just makes me feel cheap when I ever play as him.


Though I've gotten more back into Soldier play with liberty launcher, it really helps me with those trickier rocket jumps, just perfect to eliminate those pesky medics with a nice dive bombing run.
