Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

I've got a three-man team of dudes with aoes, so I can clear out three enemies in a single turn pretty reliably, even then i'm only getting about 6xp per battle.

I can't even work out how to cheat-engine the job xp.

I'm keeping my eye out for those xp seeds. If I get three of em, I can probably use CE to dupe it. ATM i've just got regular exp and 2 race xp. No job-seeds/
Like I said, until late/post game most enemies don't give you much job exp. That is unless you can come up with a strategy to beat the angels in Alt Illiasville as they give 15 job exp a pop if you manage to beat them without getting wiped in the first turn.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

are there any male characters(other then Luka of course) you guy's use? Me? I use the pope a lot especially with theme based parties like my technophile party, my fairy party, my lords & champions party and my ghost party. There are others like my bandit spirit party(phoenix girl is replacing salamander since salamander not in the game yet and she seems to get along with them well)

Unless you are still in the first continent there are better places than that. I mentioned some of them in my post above.

I think a few companions give seed of knowledge don't recall if there is any among the early ones or not though. Otherwise honeypots have a chance to drop it so save before any of the fights(see ) and try until it does.

It is not hard. Mina(the minotaur that has berserker job) can do it pretty reliably though you do need to farm a bit to master the required jobs.

Only ever used the Pope, none of the other male characters looked interesting enough to get a place.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Find area with 3+ enemy spawns, make sure the enemy gives at least 3+ job exp per and can be quickly killed (having a maid fighting plants or insects/ or a team of pleasure attackers versus beasts work wonders), level a naturally fast character as gadabout (who the hell thought it was a good idea to name it this!?), once mastered go down minstrel intermediate job, use lucky song once learned every fight (double exp gained), have fun gaining a level every 1-5 fights until level 8 or 9.

All my characters except Luka and Sonia have 150% job exp and with lucky song they are gaining their first 5 levels really fast and the following 3 at a good speed. The last 2 still drag on but with the exception of my newly subbed character, they are all on their 3 or 4th jobs and I haven't even entered the haunted mansion on my first playthrough. Flirt (I'm done calling it the other thing) was a pain to level but I'm glad I did. If you don't want to level it, use Meia as a substitute as she starts off as a minstrel.

Isn't +200% xp the max? I between my items and skills, most of my dudes have 100% normal xp and 200% job-xp.

Oh, they're all level 15-18 too, IIRC.

I got the maid-girl from the slug-town, but honestly she was kinda underwhelming. Her insecticide move was shit, my black-mage was dropping her AOE fireball and clearing out the whole groups of slugs in one turn, but the maid (if I even let her have a turn) took two or three.

About lucky song, you are correct. It does not stack with items and even worst, it only affects those in your active party at the time it was cast. So it's a great way to lvl up active party without use of items but other than that meh....

As for maid...well your first mistake was using a human. With the exception of maid-girl getting a 30% increase to service skills, Tiny Lamia outshines her in every way.
The second mistake is using insecticide against slugs. Their race are land-dwellers not insects, so of course it wouldn't be effective.
Also, because service skills are not magic...you'll never have to worry about running out of mp. Plus they get two hp and sp recovery skills so you really don't even have to worry about running out of sp later on as well.

If used right, maid can be overpowering.

200% Job XP is the max. Note that it doesn't stack with Lucky Song, etc. So if your main cast is all wearing the +100% Job XP bracelets, then Lucky Song isn't going to increase that any. On the other hand, if you are using Lucky Song, then the four people in the main cast don't need to be using the Job XP bracelets.

One nice thing is that you can put the characters you aren't using into Bondage Rope, Suicidal Training, Playfulness, or anything else you may want to grant them bonuses, since their disadvantages won't come into play. Just note that the game takes only the biggest bonus, and then only the biggest penalty, and then uses those to determine the variable. So all the above would only give 200% XP, even though they all grant +50% or +100% XP.

You can check on the character's stats (the Adv. Stats option) to see exactly what their XP rate, Job XP rate, and stuff like Steal Rate actually are.

The best places to grab Job XP would probably be around Pornof (first time you regularly see sets of three enemies, 3 Job XP total), the cave just outside Rostum (set of four candle girls gives 8 Job XP), Carlos Hill just outside Monte Carlo (enemies give 8-12 Job XP), or the final Tartarus/final area (regularly coughing up 10-15 Job XP). Note that I would only recommend the cave outside Rostum if you have Promstein and another character who can use a good group-magic attack, since the candles are ghosts and dodge most physical.

You can kill the angels in Alt-Iliasburg. I used two spear Battle Masters using Wyvern Dance, Ilias using holy pleasure attacks (from Cupid), and Promstein using holy pleasure attacks. They went down in around two rounds. However, that requires a fairly specific setup and I'd be wasting the Job XP on at least two characters, since they need to be dual-wielding and Battle Master is about the only way to do that.

I got the maid-girl from the slug-town, but honestly she was kinda underwhelming. Her insecticide move was shit, my black-mage was dropping her AOE fireball and clearing out the whole groups of slugs in one turn, but the maid (if I even let her have a turn) took two or three.
The best part of Maids is that they can directly restore SP with two of their skills. SP restoration is fairly rare, so that is very handy to have. Other than that, you want to maximize their Dexterity stat, rather than Attack, since all their attacks are based off Dexterity.

Note that there are other jobs and races which can use Dexterity and completely ignore Attack, as well. Engineer/Makina Master is the one which stands out.

Also, as KHTA mentioned, Tiny Lamia is far better. She has better defense as a Lamia, can use those Maid skills in another class (probably the best aspect), and gets far more. In general, the human characters are not all that great, unless you want someone who can help Talk at an enemy or attempt status effects every turn.

You can recruit Pilate, the guy from Iliasville who gave you the Soldier item. Go into the temple and talk to the person giving Soldier information, and he'll ask to join.

You can recruit the guy in Sara's room, right after she joins you.

You can recruit the panties man from Pornof, if you show him 5 panties or so. Apparently you can also recruit the scatman as well, if you bring the red-kimono foxgirl. I think.

Apparently you can recruit one of the guards after you get Mecha-Pope to join you, as well.

These are both correct. The blonde guard in the same room as the Pope, the one that wants you to get mithril equipment before doing the Pope's request, can be recruited after recruiting the Pope, and you can recruit the scat-man after bringing the red kimono fox-girl to meet him. Why anyone would want to recruit him is a whole other matter.

I'm sorry if this has already been asked, but is there a way to break the bind when Luka's status is "being raped"?

Inflict a status ailment that interferes with the enemy's ability to attack, and the bind will be broken. Defeating the enemy also works.

But when the status "you're being raped" is up, Luka can't attack because he's still binded, wait and struggle means nothing as I'm seeing my protagonist being fucked to death.. T_T

Are you talking about paradox or the original MGQ? Because unless you are for some reason trying to solo the game with Luka, you have three other characters to attack with if Luka gets bound in paradox.

I can't even work out how to cheat-engine the job xp.
It's possible, if annoying. It use the exact same leveling system as normal XP, it's just that the value isn't included in your status screen. So, basically, just scan for Unknown Initial Number and then just use Value Increased By with how much Job XP you got from a fight until you only have your wanted value left.

Using that method, you can basically level up all 8 of your active party at the same time, both for Job AND Race XP.

It depends on the monster, I've found. Some monsters you can just struggle against. Some monsters that just doesn't work, so you're stuck attacking. Some monsters will just insta-kill Luka if he gets pinned, so you don't have much choice in that situation.

As swpkmn points out, stunning or killing the enemy will end the grapple. You'll want a status which cancels the enemy's next turn to do so. Talk has a few skills like that, singing and dancing have a few, some race skills like Beast have a few. Some creatures are immune to a lot of status effects but if you manage to hit them with one, then that will free Luka. The only other way is to kill the monster, successfully struggle free (if possible), or just wait for Luka to get KO'd and revive him.

I was going to mention that a second character was needed to inflict the ailment, but I thought that was obvious.

Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox

Hum, are you supposed to be capable of fighting the Sphinx over and over for everything she gives?

Been going through the game again and maybe it is because my Luka is rather powerful but Sphinx looks a really good place to farm for a while since she gives 50 job/race XP plus elixir and mystery nut while taking either two turns or one with a little luck.

Huh, I wonder what it was for. I'm not familiar with the terms on Wordpress. Was that Dargoth's only venue for his work or does he have others? That's kind of crappy since he has been around for quite some time.

Can't really think anything else that could've caused this, but i think it might have been that he told on the comments where to find the link for the translated episode.
