Re: Monster Girl Quest: Paradox
Isn't +200% xp the max? I between my items and skills, most of my dudes have 100% normal xp and 200% job-xp.
Oh, they're all level 15-18 too, IIRC.
200% Job XP is the max. Note that it doesn't stack with Lucky Song, etc. So if your main cast is all wearing the +100% Job XP bracelets, then Lucky Song isn't going to increase that any. On the other hand, if you are using Lucky Song, then the four people in the main cast don't need to be using the Job XP bracelets.
One nice thing is that you can put the characters you aren't using into Bondage Rope, Suicidal Training, Playfulness, or anything else you may want to grant them bonuses, since their disadvantages won't come into play. Just note that the game takes only the biggest bonus, and then only the biggest penalty, and then uses those to determine the variable. So all the above would only give 200% XP, even though they all grant +50% or +100% XP.
You can check on the character's stats (the Adv. Stats option) to see exactly what their XP rate, Job XP rate, and stuff like Steal Rate actually are.
The best places to grab Job XP would probably be around Pornof (first time you regularly see sets of three enemies, 3 Job XP total), the cave just outside Rostum (set of four candle girls gives 8 Job XP), Carlos Hill just outside Monte Carlo (enemies give 8-12 Job XP), or the final Tartarus/final area (regularly coughing up 10-15 Job XP). Note that I would only recommend the cave outside Rostum if you have Promstein and another character who can use a good group-magic attack, since the candles are ghosts and dodge most physical.
You can kill the angels in Alt-Iliasburg. I used two spear Battle Masters using Wyvern Dance, Ilias using holy pleasure attacks (from Cupid), and Promstein using holy pleasure attacks. They went down in around two rounds. However, that requires a fairly specific setup and I'd be wasting the Job XP on at least two characters, since they need to be dual-wielding and Battle Master is about the only way to do that.
I got the maid-girl from the slug-town, but honestly she was kinda underwhelming. Her insecticide move was shit, my black-mage was dropping her AOE fireball and clearing out the whole groups of slugs in one turn, but the maid (if I even let her have a turn) took two or three.
The best part of Maids is that they can directly restore SP with two of their skills. SP restoration is fairly rare, so that is very handy to have. Other than that, you want to maximize their Dexterity stat, rather than Attack, since all their attacks are based off Dexterity.
Note that there are other jobs and races which can use Dexterity and completely ignore Attack, as well. Engineer/Makina Master is the one which stands out.
Also, as KHTA mentioned, Tiny Lamia is far better. She has better defense as a Lamia, can use those Maid skills in another class (probably the best aspect), and gets far more. In general, the human characters are not all that great, unless you want someone who can help Talk at an enemy or attempt status effects every turn.
are there any male characters(other then Luka of course) you guy's use? Me? I use the pope a lot especially with theme based parties like my technophile party, my fairy party, my lords & champions party and my ghost party. There are others like my bandit spirit party(phoenix girl is replacing salamander since salamander not in the game yet and she seems to get along with them well)
You can recruit Pilate, the guy from Iliasville who gave you the Soldier item. Go into the temple and talk to the person giving Soldier information, and he'll ask to join.
You can recruit the guy in Sara's room, right after she joins you.
You can recruit the panties man from Pornof, if you show him 5 panties or so. Apparently you can also recruit the scatman as well, if you bring the red-kimono foxgirl. I think.
Apparently you can recruit one of the guards after you get Mecha-Pope to join you, as well.
