However, none of you are paladins of Freedom or memorized FoM, so this is a rather dangerous spell to be trapped in.

I'd say you can cut down a singular tentacle or two no problem with that kinda roll, but they simply regrow, and thats your aid another to help them out of the tenta-gropings.

Other options to escape would be Grease, Dimension Door, Dispel Evil, or possibly somehow dragging the enemy mage into it because the biggest flaw with Black Tentacles is it will friendly fire.

On that note, you can't just try to escape the grapple and then take another standard action on top of it, its either or.

Well, he could if he has Superior Grapple, but I know he does not.

Well if Sekla ever got to level 8 spells she could cast her groups ultimate spell which is basically a version of black tentacles with plants, that can ignore good beings and hits structures. And the tentacles are Gargantuan. So we're talking more

Guess Sekla has to drink her Juice, I personally am content with lvl 5 spells, the three are lucky I allow only level equal spells outside of endboss encounters for myself.

Joking aside you don't want to know what I can do with a metamagic'd quickfire combination of grease, create pit, and black tentacles.. though for some odd reason, my character doing that one liberally got game overed by lewd harpy breeeders...

Well you'd need to find a way to fire off three spells at once. Personally I'm more fond of Cloudkill or Aqueous Orb with Wall of Stone in the hemisphere format.

Easy enough with spell triggers but combining a quickened grease and the tentacles is already more saves than most characters can handle. And whats the fun in simply killing things with cloudkill when you can molest 'em to death with tentacles while they're greased up.

Combine with a web spell and name it the 'really shouldn't have dumpstatted Dex, eh?' attack.

Well anyone dumpstating dex is either doing it wrong, has a way to replace the stat or just really has an idea for the char like my oracle with 7 dex and the Haunted curse. Had to constantly fight their own body for control with the eldritch horrors inhabiting it. Makes for some stiff movement. Makes the Horror Form spell particularly fun to use though.

Well anyone dumpstating dex is either doing it wrong, has a way to replace the stat or just really has an idea for the char like my oracle with 7 dex and the Haunted curse. Had to constantly fight their own body for control with the eldritch horrors inhabiting it. Makes for some stiff movement. Makes the Horror Form spell particularly fun to use though.

Did you binge watch the good AND the bad Ju-On movies or what?
