I recall reading somewhere that the top 3 most used language around the world are:
1. English
2. Chinese
3. Japanese
So while it's not THE most wide-spread, it certainly is up there(and the amount of JLPT examinees show they are growing, fast)

You know, there are LOTS of chinese speaking people outside China. In countries like TAIWAN, SINGAPORE, MALAYSIA, and so on. Even in Thailand, America, Europe and Australia. There are chinese people all over the world, even in Japan -.-"Used" != "Wide-spread". How many people outside of China speak Chinese and use it on a daily basis compared to other languages like German? Or, rather more telling, how many other countries have large Chinese speaking populations? Yeah, tons of Chinese in China speak Chinese, but I'm not really sure it's spoken much anywhere else.
Don't all the chinese speaking people live in china though?
I trust Wiki more than my memory, but it must be my age:

I don't see the actual link to the download on his blog, though, could someone show or describe where to look?
During the time the thread went slightly off topic, looks like the username and password authentication has been removed, however the previous warning still stands and re-added to the 1st blog post, although rephrased.
In other words, looks like this is the last warning, if it happens again, the creator is IP blocking everyone.

That's what the footnotes and external links are there for.Wiki pages cannot and should not be used as reference of any kind in any kind of debate, since anyone can alter the contents of those pages contained in the wiki database. ...

Now, I'd be the last to claim that distributing a free game through portals other than the official site doesn't somehow, through some strange telepathy, harm the creator who's giving the game away for free anyway, but something seems awry with his methods. Work with me here:
So, in order to prevent offsite hosting by foreigners, his plan is to make offsite hosting the only way most foreign people can get his game?
Bloody genius, if you ask me.
(Paraphrased, not an actual translation.)
1) For personal reasons, I ask people not to redistribute my game elsewhere, This is reasonable since I'm offering the game for free anyway.
2) Foreign websites start uploading my games and hosting them elsewhere.
3) I ask them, politely(on my website), to not redistribute my game. Now, they may not understand Japanese, but that doesn't change the fact that I did ask them not to do so, and the burden falls unto them anyway since they must have gotten the game somehow from a Japanese website (mine).
4) They ignore me.
5) (Repeat 3~4)
6) Since the 'foreign' websites do not respect my wishes, which are entirely reasonable considering that I'm offering the game for free, I see no reason why they should continue to enjoy access to further updates to my game.
7) Hence, I'm now restricting access to foreign IPs.
I think the only reason why people are reuploading the game is because the download link in the blog is a tad difficult to find if you aren't familiar with Japanese, aren't told where exactly where to look or aren't bloody lucky. If they made it a little more obvious....then it wouldn't be a problem most likely.
