The puppy.
It would be the most innocent thing in the world. I’m talking about the most adorable puppy that everyone would love. You’d just want to cuddle it in your arms. It’d be that puppy that no one can resist. Just the mere sight of it would make you all fuzzy inside. But that money, oh man. Would you want that million dollars?

The money.
A million dollars. In cash. Antony and Cleopatra! That money could be used for anything. You can help get your family back on track after being in debt. Give it to charity or donate it the kids who can’t even get a decent education. Hell, you can buy yourself that new computer you’ve always wanted. No one will know you’ve got that amount of cash. You’d be shooting the puppy with the most lethal handgun on Earth. You may experience guilt and people would… well, you know what I mean.

So what would it be?

Imagine if the puppy was a puppy that looked exactly like this:

Why even bother wasting a bullet on the dog? I'd kill it with my own hands for a million. Hell, I'd settle for a hundred.

Plus, that dog isn't really that cute anyway.

I work for animal control and have to kill cute animals all the time for less money. So why the hell not.

I'd end it and keep all the money, and likely see if I could find a recipe so it wasn't just senseless violence. Though the meat would be rather stringy at that age...

Actually dog isn't bad, had when I was staitioned in Korea.

A dog? I'd do it for hundred, provided there's no consequences. But then, I don't like dogs. I guess they're nice, but I don't like having one in the house I live in.
Now, if it was a kitten, that would be a tougher choice. I guess I'd do it anyway, but I'd feel bad about it.

i grew up breeding dogs, every litter you loose a few, provided it was the owner asking me to do this i wouldn't bat an eyelid.

I would not. Money isn't that important, sure it helps get one through life, but at the expense of another creature's life, no not good enough. Sure, I've killed people and dogs (among other animals) before, but they threatened my survival, or I had to because of my job, or I wanted it for the food. But to kill something just for some money? No, I wouldn't.

i'm not sure how killing for money is different than killing for food. there is a degree of separation but there not that different in principal.

No you don't really need money to survive, of course neither does anyone need to kill to survive. We're not hunters and gatherers anymore. I find no reason to kill anything acceptable. Still did it though so I might as well get paid for it. I'm strongly in favor of Nunu's opinion there.

I'd prefer not to kill the dog, just doesn't sit right with me. Would it be possible to kill the person telling me to do it, and then steal the money?
